[ Hans has made pretty good legwork around Caer Scima during and after the feast, but that's not quite enough to satisfy his curiosity on a few matters - the locket, for one, and the other court for another. So he might as well kill two birds with one stone, right? Besides, while he's still getting his bearings, the best thing he could do what get to know as many people as possible. He hates being so unfamiliar with, well, everyone.

So he greets the video feed with a friendly, enthusiastic grin, his actual exhaustion buried deep beneath the surface. ]

Good evening! I apologize for the interruption, but I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, and I've only just arrived in this world. As you might imagine, it's a bit overwhelming. If wouldn't mind taking a moment of your time to help me better understand the conflict going on here, I would appreciate it.

[ Then, after a thoughtful moment: ] And for curiosity's sake, who else is a royal in their own world? Surely, I can't be the only lucky one here.

[ Sure, lucky, SOMETHING LIKE THAT. ]

[It's pretty easy to forget that not everyone has met life from other planets. It's common enough where she's from that people don't even think twice about them coming and going unless they're blowing shit up.]

Oh yes. I traveled to many before arriving on Earth.

[ It's unbelievable. He honestly doesn't believe it. How could such a thing be possible? Yet, she sounded too earnest to be pulling his leg. ]

Is that so? [ His surprised tone is genuine. ] What kind of worlds did you see, Your Highness?

I've visited one such world that was covered in white sands. The people there earned their living by trading ores and gemstones. They were most resilient and proud, and they crafted the most glorious jewelry.

[She gets a little bit of a distant and remorseful look then, thinking about some of them. There were quite a few. What she DOESN'T say is that the reason she'd seen so many was her captor's using her to try to conquer them...]

The galaxy is filled with many once wondrous places. Sadly, many of them were ravaged by war with the Gordanians, my own included. That is why I wish to help. I do not wish to see this world also torn apart by war.

[ How very touching. We've got a hero princess on our hands. ]

You've arrived just in time, then. I've heard there was a devastating battle not too long ago. What will you do?

[Understatement of the millennium.]

I do not know. It is not my place to tell either side how to rule their homes. [She has no idea where to start doing something about something like that, but at least she'll have her task.] For now I will simply do what is asked of me, which is to help protect. What will you do, Prince Hans?

I'll learn everything I can about this world and then help out in the best way I can. [ Mostly true. Except he'll be helping himself first and foremost. ] We very well may cross paths in our efforts.
