[Here's a young king, peering at his locket. He thinks he understands how it's supposed to work - the fairies were helpful enough, it's true. Still, the concept of communicating via… jewelry is rather foreign to him. But it's magic, and one thing Caspian knows is that magic doesn't have an easy explanation. He also knows that magic items are to be treated with caution, so he holds the locket carefully while peering into it.]
Oh! I think... I think this is working now? Hello? I talk into this, and I see and hear people talking back, right?
[Hopefully.]
I should introduce myself. I am Caspian X, King of Narnia. I need to know: are there any other Narnians here? If you are here, please contact me.
[Caspian's not sure what he hopes to hear in answer to that question: he doesn't want to think of any of his people here, brought here like himself to fight in a battle that is not his own. But (and he knows it's selfish), he'd like to think he has allies here.]

[ Stubborn and yeah, he has a problem with royalty. A huge problem. Sorry for the hostility, Caspian. ]

No, I'm not, unless you're a Narnian, and I'm guessing you aren't. In any case, I'm not king in this place.

Audio
[It sounds vaguely European to his ears. It's never even occurred to him that people here might be coming from some place other than Earth.]
Audio
[That's an automatic response, one drilled into him by years of geography lessons. It takes a minute for him to realize they might be talking about other things - Caspian's familiar with the concept of different worlds, thanks to the Kings and Queens of Old.]
Well, and it's not here in this world at all. Probably not in yours, either.
[It may be too much to hope for a person from his world.]

[The description goes right over the Terminator's head, even as his databank starts up a new entry marked 'Narnia'. Categorized under land mass, monarchy, unknown dimensions, unknown population. If his systems can successfully integrate the idea of magic and being transported to a different world, it can process the idea of one little new land.]

I am not of your lands nor can I say I know of them, but welcome to the Seelie Court.

My lady. [There's a sort of awkward bow visible through the locket.] Thank you for your welcome. Is this your land, or do you also come from another place?

[She gives him a slight nod and a smile. She might be casually omitting everywhere her status as queen, but that didn't mean she couldn't pay the respects due to the rulers of other nations.
Things are a bit busy right now but]
I am Elincia. I am afraid I haven't heard of any other Narnians just yet. Your country is as foreign to me as mine would be to you, it seems.
video
Greetings, Lady Elincia. I am starting to wonder if that will be the case for everyone I meet - all of us from different lands, and worlds.

I believe so. My world was filled with magic but for others it seems like magic was just a fairytale. Well, until they arrived here.

[He returns the smile.] Well met, Prince Kili.

[But so far there's been no sign of Thorin...
He colors slightly at the way Caspian addresses him and chuckles, rubbing at his already tangled hair.] No one has ever called me that before. There's no need. Just plain Kili suits me better.

No, likely not. It seems we all come from many different worlds. Where are you from, my lady?

Westeros. Are you really a king? [ because in her experience, kings are awful.]

[ And brother to the queen, if all went as planned back home. ]
Although I'm learning that has little meaning here, just as your Narnia is a mystery realm to me.

[She seems pretty amused by this.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty. My name is Deedlit. Though I don't recall meeting anyone from a place called Narnia...

[He's interested in her amusement.]
Are you a ruler yourself?
no subject
[She shakes her head a little.]
I'm not a ruler. I'm simply an elf. But I've met royalty of all kinds upon arriving here!
