Accidental Video | Seelie & Unseelie | sometime during a break in worm fighting

[ The locket comes alive with a voice - deep and wild as the sea, it sings a lament in a language that seems made for music. The songs starts partway, and it is obvious perhaps that the singer is not aware that he is being recorded. There is the flash of one of the Unseelie imps, before it vanishes offscreen to reveal the singer - a man, or something like one, dark haired and grey eyed, with his face turned up to the stars.

To any who listen, the words of the song will paint themselves in the mind - white ships and blood on the sand, a tall and proud people with bright banners beneath a new-born sun, fire and blood and tears unimaginable, and three brilliant jewels that rival the stars ]

[That doesn't really clear much up for him, but he tries to process it through his systems. Recall: conversation with John Connor. 'Pain causes it?' 'Uh-unh, no. It's when there's nothing wrong with you but you hurt anyways.' He hadn't understood the meaning then. Now, he's closer to getting it.]

You remember it clearly, so it hurts inside.

[The Terminator isn't sure what to make of scarring memories. Trauma registers in a completely different way for the machine, something to be observed and filed away, but never experienced fully. Maybe it's a human thing.]

I can never forget. Not anything.

Yes. The good and the bad.

[There's a quiet moment as he searches his databank for an appropriate question to ask.]

What is your name?

[Strange to experience someone's memory through song and not even know who they are.]

I don't have one. Some here have taken to calling me Terminator.

[Gentle? Him? Really?]

A Terminator is what I was created to be.

[Though not what he had turned out to be.]

[A gentle Terminator. What an unusual thought.]

No. I have learned when not to kill.

Do you know of a more suitable one?

[Creativity is not his strong suit. Terminator suits him just fine, but people do seem to love their proper names for things.]

Hehehehe this is a brilliant thread!

[The pause from the Terminator's end is so long one might think he's cut the connection from his locket. He's just self-aware enough to understand the question, but it's still hard to define what makes up himself. When the words finally come, they're short and to the point.]

Fighter. Machine. Loyal.
unclebob: (One chip left)

No problemo! It's worth it. :)

Angahtar.

[He tests his new name out. His thick accent has a bit of trouble wrapping around the syllables, but he likes it.]

It's a good, strong name.
unclebob: (Trust me)

Heh. Honorary robot elf!

['My friend.' He's never heard those words from another person. He could get used to hearing them.]

Thank you.

That should be his motto.

No. I become incapacitated if I try to cross.
unclebob: (Trust me)

[There's a tone in his voice that suggests a smile, though his face remains in its usual neutral position.]

I will look for you.
