But, he was mentally digressing, the locket held in his hand and panned around his brand new shiny wizard's room.


He made sure to get everything in his little scan, showing off what looked like a chemistry set over on the table there and that glowing ball thing that hw as kind of avoiding because scary and everything that was just too cool for school about this room.]

Isn't this great? They gave me a room, totally warded and everything so I don't have to worry about causing earthquakes or setting anyone on fire. Well, outside of it. I could probably still set myself on fire. I'm trying to avoid that. Look, it even has my name on the door.

[Cue him going over and opening the door to show the stylized plaque that was adhered to the door with his name on it.]

Still not entirely impressed with being kidnapped and not being able to go home and the whole trying to kill me stuff, but this... goes a tiny way to making it better. Just a little bit. Ooh, look at this.

[The locket panned back over to a coat rack, where he'd hung up the cloak he'd found when he'd come in at first. It was a dark, dark red that had shimmery silver highlights when he moved it.]

I got a cloak. They're trying to make me a pretty pimp wizard. Hey, hey Radagast. Would that make me Stiles the Red?

[Have a beaming teenager as he turns the pendant around so he can grin into it.]

You could be. The king here doesn't exactly look like a stick figure with wings. And maybe try clarifying when you say things. 'The king' doesn't really give me much to work with. The king of what? Your world? Your corner of the world? This world? Buger King? Elvis? The king of pop? There are a variety of kings, Mopey.

[bullhorned]

King of the Seven Kingdoms. Westeros. Anyone you've met from my realm, that's where they're from.

[There was of course... Essos. But he knew no one from there, except perhaps Danaerys, but that was too fine a point to point out.]

That's not where Daenerys says she's from.

[Pointing the point out, Gendry. How you like them apples?]

Well she hasn't been there for a long time, but it's where she's from.

[he won't go into the whole... his dad stole her dad's throne.]

Uh huh.

[She'd been in Westeros for all of a minute when she'd been born on Dragonstone before being hied off to Essos. That totally didn't count, Gendry, king of making shit up.]

It makes no matter. [He grumbles something about halfwits.] Is your magic any better than it was before?

A bit, yeah. It'll get better now that I have somewhere to practice.

[bullhorned]

Is a place like that proper for practicing? Seems there's only more things to break in a place like that.

[Like, geez, give him a break, man.]

I do all my magic stuff in the circle and all my potion stuff by the breakables.

They've got you making potions, too?

[He doesn't know much about potions. But it seems ominous to him.]

No, I've got me making potions. I managed to cure a few of those rabid pixies, so...

[Put that in your pipe and shove the whole thing up your ass, Gendry.]

So did I. I killed a few of those imps as well.

[The second part is more true than the first. Sansa's singing did more to ease the fairy than Gendry's singing did.]

Yeah, not sure if killing was the goal, buddy. Did you know you got gold for curing them? Like, lots of gold. Call me King Stiles now. Booyah.

If that was all what made a king, I'd be one already. I've more diamonds and rubies than I've any use for.

What? Where'd you get diamonds and rubies?

[And how come he didn't have any.]

Those giant worms? Their guts were filled with the stuff. After that, the fairy royals gave me a bag of the stuff to go with all that as well.

[Gendry is just well loved. That's all there is to it.]

[He'd been a mere mortal during that and would have wound up being eaten by it, so... boo.]

If I'd have been a better fighter, I'd had enough to go buy my own castle. Mayhaps buy a wizard of my own.
