[Hey, look at that. A step in the right direction. He was learning not to open his posts to the side that he was supposed to be fighting. And killing, if her royal glowiness had anything to say about it. Color him not impressed.

But, he was mentally digressing, the locket held in his hand and panned around his brand new shiny wizard's room.


He made sure to get everything in his little scan, showing off what looked like a chemistry set over on the table there and that glowing ball thing that hw as kind of avoiding because scary and everything that was just too cool for school about this room.]

Isn't this great? They gave me a room, totally warded and everything so I don't have to worry about causing earthquakes or setting anyone on fire. Well, outside of it. I could probably still set myself on fire. I'm trying to avoid that. Look, it even has my name on the door.

[Cue him going over and opening the door to show the stylized plaque that was adhered to the door with his name on it.]

Still not entirely impressed with being kidnapped and not being able to go home and the whole trying to kill me stuff, but this... goes a tiny way to making it better. Just a little bit. Ooh, look at this.

[The locket panned back over to a coat rack, where he'd hung up the cloak he'd found when he'd come in at first. It was a dark, dark red that had shimmery silver highlights when he moved it.]

I got a cloak. They're trying to make me a pretty pimp wizard. Hey, hey Radagast. Would that make me Stiles the Red?

[Have a beaming teenager as he turns the pendant around so he can grin into it.]

Thanks. Hey, I've been looking into some potion magicky stuff and I think maybe I found something, but I need to work on it first to make sure.

[ and her dragons' growth rate has slowed considerable since her arrival. ]

Great. Good. I mean, that you don't mind a bit of a wait. There's someone else here with some magicky abilities and she seems to know way more than me, so I figure I'll run it by her and see if we can't get it to work between us. But as soon as it's up and running, I'll let you know. Cool?

[ a thoughtful hum. ] If "cool" is good, yes.

Cool is good, yes. It's... ah, yeah. My world sort of has a lot of things I guess would be confusing for someone else to hear.

[That's not even bringing in things like getting jiggy with it or having the 4-1-1 on something.]

I see. [ another hum, and she can't help but ask — ] Is hot bad, then?

[ it shouldn't be, from a dragon's perspective, at least. ]

Hah, no, hot's good too, but in a different way. Like, someone can be hot and that, ah, that means they're really attractive.

[ she laughs, the bells in her hair ringing with the movement. ] How fortunate that House Targaryen is of fire, then.

[ still a tad too literal, but, hey, all Targs are hotties in both senses of the word. ]

[BLUSH. God, had he really just said that? Yes, he'd just said that. Kill him now.]

[ she only smiles widely at that. ] Perhaps you are not fire, Stiles, but you are plenty warm.

[Had she just complimented him? Oh god, say hello to a still red face. God. Pretty girls got him so messed up.]

Ah, thanks. That's... yeah. That's... so, right. Potions. The, ah, the spell, if it works right, would make you have to carry around a mirror or something. I don't think trying to mess with the lockets is a good idea since they're pre-magicked and all.

[ oh, she looks very pleased with herself. did she do that on purpose? ]

It's kind of like a GPS mixed with a scrying spell. You won't have to be all magical to use it or anything, but you'll be able to call up an image of them from a mirror that I'll have to spell with the potions. Which you'll have to get them to eat. Or drink. Or ingest, somehow. I'm trying to tweak it so that there's a locator aspect that comes up with the mirror, like, hey, I want this dragon. Which direction is it? kind of thing. That's sort of where I'm hitting a wall, but I've got a friend who's pretty good at all this and I'm hoping she can help me with it.
