He made sure to get everything in his little scan, showing off what looked like a chemistry set over on the table there and that glowing ball thing that hw as kind of avoiding because scary and everything that was just too cool for school about this room.]

Isn't this great? They gave me a room, totally warded and everything so I don't have to worry about causing earthquakes or setting anyone on fire. Well, outside of it. I could probably still set myself on fire. I'm trying to avoid that. Look, it even has my name on the door.

[Cue him going over and opening the door to show the stylized plaque that was adhered to the door with his name on it.]

Still not entirely impressed with being kidnapped and not being able to go home and the whole trying to kill me stuff, but this... goes a tiny way to making it better. Just a little bit. Ooh, look at this.

[The locket panned back over to a coat rack, where he'd hung up the cloak he'd found when he'd come in at first. It was a dark, dark red that had shimmery silver highlights when he moved it.]

I got a cloak. They're trying to make me a pretty pimp wizard. Hey, hey Radagast. Would that make me Stiles the Red?

[Have a beaming teenager as he turns the pendant around so he can grin into it.]

I guess you've never played any online MMORPGs, huh?

Nnno. I'm not much of a computer person. I played D&D once! But my friend filled out all the stats for me, I just played the character.

Well, let's just say there's a myriad of different specialties someone who practices magic can go under, in fake magic worlds. And elementalist is, wait for it... someone who has control of the elements.

Mythomagic? Yeah, that sounds pretty MMORPGish. I'm betting it's a similar idea.

It's a card game, actually. I've never played it, but there are some kids at camp that are into it. There's cards and little figurines, it's a whole thing. All based around Greek myth.

Ah, so like Magic: The Gathering. Yeah, okay. I can dig it.

Yeah, I guess I could apply things I've learned in games like that to this, so no, to answer your question, I'm not an elementalist. I'd say I'm a... huh. I don't know. Just a general wizard for now.

Ah, I'd still say general wizardry is pretty great. Have you met Hermione yet? She's a witch, back home. She still is here, but I think she went to school for it and stuff. She could probably should you the ropes. Of wizardry. Or whatever.

[ she just really likes saying "wizardry" ]

I think we have different schools of magic, if that's a thing, but we're supposed to get together and see if there's workable overlap.

No. I have a staff. That's kind of why I'm not sure if there's crossover. Hermione and Ginny seem to come from this place where they live sort of... alongside 'muggles' and they're hidden away from us, but I just... I don't know, man. I think I would have heard of that. And if they come from a different world, maybe their magic is different. Kind of make sense, right?

Yeah, yeah. That makes perfect sense.

Though judging by the stuff Hermione was telling me, I think if a witch wanted to stay hidden, she would be able to. Demigods stay hidden from mortals in my world, I imagine it's the same as that. Some things just have to stay secret.

Mm... I think I'd know. Let's just leave it at that.

[He's know something, at least. Magic people wouldn't be able to hide in a shifter world.]

I don't think it matters which world it is, as long as it's the same type of witch, or demigod, or whatever else - the magic keeping it from prying eyes would be the same, so your knowledge of it would be the same. Which in this case it none, no knowledge of it. See what I mean?

Well, since I know about some things in my world, I'm pretty sure if there were other things, I'd know about those too. Let's just leave it at that.

I'm not very good at leaving things "at that". Is there a reason you're keeping secrets?
