[ The feed begins with a young man's blissfully slumbering face - his long and mussed blond locks settling as though he's just tossed over, or perhaps even fallen there, in what appears to be a soft bed of grass and barky roots.
It's but a moment before he shifts with an airy sigh, locket slipping from his loose hand to the earth below. It allows a glimpse of-- something above. A coiled tail that bobs as it drifts up and down in place, and is ended with the cutest little pink bow. Its pale blue blue body appears plush, with visible stitching along its seams, and even across the close lids of its eyes. A soft whirring of a clockwork motor sounds as the silver key in its back rotates, and... did you just hear a giggle, as well? No. No, that's simply your imagination.
To those that know them, it's none other than Vincent and his Chain, the Dormouse. To those that don't recognize either of these sights, perhaps they'll be able to identify the towering exterior of the Caer Glaem castle instead.
Vincent hardly belongs here, but after seeking out the Kow in a fit of frustration - (all that damned mooing would get to anyone who had their sleep disrupted for the third night in a row) - he'd had the superb fortune of simultaneously being teleported to the enemy's doorstep and thrown into unconsciousness by his trickster of a chain, while preparing to use his locket.
He'd intended to seek some advice on how to be rid of the ghostly beast, in case his gun failed him, but now... well. Maybe you would be so kind as to assist this poor fool, somehow. ]

[ Yeah, Vincent recognizes that voice-- and it seems that his first instinct is to slink over closer to the source and nuzzle his cheek into the grass whilst reaching out a seeking hand. ]
... brother...
[ Embarrassing, isn't it? Also pretty hard to tell if he's screwing with Gil's head, or if this is an actual thing that's happening. It really could go either way. ]

[Inside of a magical necklace, what a time to be alive.]
Wake up already!

Hmnyh?
[ Cracking open mismatched eyes to search for his precious, he blearily raises a hand to brush along the side of his face-- and only then does it seem to register that something's amiss.
That this sure as hell isn't where he's supposed to be, but more importantly, that he's hearing the very guy that he's been trying to avoid. Shit.
Time to look AS SURPRISED AS POSSIBLE, while picking up the locket! ]
It really is you... Ah, I'll be heartbroken if I'm still dreaming.
no subject
You're not dreaming, but you fell asleep outside somewhere. [He sighs himself into a sad little frown.]
So you've been in the other castle where Elliot is all this time.
[WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL, BRO.]
no subject
When Gilbert mentions slumber, Vincent glances upward, catching sight of Dormouse above. ]
It seems that you're right about that.
[ But where had he fallen asleep, precisely? He glances around himself - though, the thought cuts short with a yawn. ]
Mm, with Elliot, yes. What a shame; you'd surely thought that you would be free from my hindrance here.

Gilbert grits his teeth, but holds back from screaming. For all he knows, Vincent hasn't even seen their fight yet. Maybe he doesn't know that the two of them faced each other with guns drawn and Chains threatening. Or maybe he's long since gotten over it, settled in at Pandora at Leo's side - Glen's side, as Oscar's words had implied. He doesn't sound like a man who has betrayed his brother, but then, he never had, not for ten years.]
Knock it off! You should have at least told me you were here! If I'd known, I -
[What? Would have rode for two months to get to him? Offered a truce? Demanded an explanation, forgiveness? Gilbert doesn't even know himself right now.]
no subject
[ It's a relief to see Gilbert like this, really. Not just with all accessories included, but as he always remembered him; his so-called freedom had left Vincent with a brother that he could barely recognize. Even if he'd already chosen a separate path for himself, this is the sibling he remembers - the one who has not yet moved on without him. ]
Hadn't you enough to worry about, already? Settling into a new world, fretting over that girl, the search for your young master...
no subject
He stares down uselessly into his locket, mouth moving like he's trying to say something, but can't quite find the words just yet.]
no subject
It regrets me to burden you now, but I'm afraid that I may need your help. I don't know where I am, after all.
no subject
You don't know where you fell asleep...?
no subject
[ What is shame? This smiling face knows it not. ]
Last I recall, I was pursuing what I assume was the Kow. You might guess the rest.

[why this why anything]

It woke me up.
no subject
[Though he can't say with reasonable certainty that he wouldn't do the same thing if provoked.]
How am I supposed to help you?! I don't know where you are either!
no subject
[ A careless shrug! It couldn't be helped now. He was still too tired to fret, really, if his lethargic blink has anything to say about it. ]
You won't try to look for me, brother?

Vincent...

It seems that I'm not too far out from what I assume to be a garden. [ He begins, as he cranes his neck to look around proper. ] I hear what could be a fountain-- and there's the castle, of course.
[ He angles his locket to provide a view of said architecture. In all its golden glory, it's obvious even to him that his must be the renowned Caer Glaem. He couldn't help it, he just wanted to see Gilbert fret - just a little. ]
1/2 spams you all night long
2/2
[He had to have known that all along. It's with every last ounce of his strength that Gilbert does not toss this stupid locket across the room and smash it out of frustration.]
oh baby
So that's why it seemed familiar. [ Okay, so he'll let a sly smile slip. ]
no subject
Stay there. I'll come find you...
[They'll have to face each other sooner or later.]
no subject
[ Even if he has half a mind to book it. Gilbert comes from an earlier time; it will be necessary to find out what he does, and does not know.
And, yes - sooner or later. ]
