( Clary is in the middle of nowhere. Somehow, she's been transported to a place she clearly doesn't want to be. She woke up in the middle of the night to a sound, an absolutely terrible one. And, being who she is, she decided to investigate. Caer Scima is weird, and kind of freaky, in a way that reminds her of places she's not altogether cool with. Fairies, still not cool, never going to be cool. But when she goes to check out the weird noise, when she goes to fix it... Bam. Just. Bam. Middle of the forest. Not really sure where. But it's dark, and there are a lot of noises she's not cool with, and she's pretty unarmed. She has her stele, which only sort of works here, and that's it. )

So... Anybody else... I dunno, randomly planted in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night for no reason? Because I'm kinda up the creek without a paddle... ( HELP 8( ) I seriously have... No idea, whatsoever, where I am. And it's too dark to see anything... So I'm not going to try to get out. Not until morning. But if there's anyone who recognizes my surroundings - ( She waves her locket around, but it's a pretty random location. Basically just looks like any other stretch of woods. )

I'd send up a flare, but, unfortunately? Don't have one.

( Clary is uncomfortable, but not so much panicked as she is very, very annoyed. And she's lost. Which amplifies said annoyance. Still, there is an undeniable amount of persuasion in the calmness of his voice. She's compelled to listen. )

My ankle hurts a little, but I've already got an iratze on it. It's only sort of working, but it's in less pain, and I don't think it's anything serious. I just landed on it wrong.

[tensed]

Okay. [ he trusts that clary doesn't need to be told to take it easy on that leg. ] Tell me if you recognize any of the plants around you. Or the trees.

( Clary's quiet for a moment as she looks around. It's just trees and flowers. There's nothing distinctly memorable about any of them, really. ) I don't know -- pine? They're just trees.

Yeah. ( Duh. ) Is there something special about them I should know?

[tensed]

[ bluntly: ] Stay away from them. Some of the plants will try to trap you. If my source is right, the willows are the worst.

( in clary speak you just said PLEASE GO FIND A WILLOW. but she'll listen for now. She sighs. ) Great. Lost in the middle of the woods at buttcrack-o-clock, and there's a potential I could be kidnapped by a tree. Because my life wasn't bizarre enough already.

[tensed]

You ought to be careful what you wish for.

[ and terrible jokes, this is your lucky ungodly early in the morning, clary. ]

I'm going out to find you. I'll keep the locket on me. Anything changes or you see anything, tell me.

Hey, never said I wanted that. I'm just acknowledging the fact that it's a very real possibility. ( sorry gale she didn't intend to like wake you up and make you come save her. ) I think I'll just stand in this one place. Maybe sit, if it takes you a while. You really don't have to leave right now, though.... You can wait. I'll be fine.

I'm going to get the things ready to leave. That should take a while anyway.

Please just be careful, Gale. ( She doesn't want him to get lost or hurt just because of her. Seriously. ) I don't know how to fix injuries on mundanes.
