I've been remiss in introducing myself these many weeks, I hope you'll forgive me for that. My name is Margaery Tyrell of House Tyrell. Some of you may already know my brother, Loras, whose company I am grateful for every day.

[And, more recently, for his sword.]

Some of you who've so recently arrived may be missing loved ones of your own, but take heart. They may yet find you. I only pray that the courts won't keep you separated.

[She glances off to the side. Woe her darling husband-to-be. She looks back again.]

I am no warrior myself, but I've been trying to find my purpose here as a healer, as well as helping with morale. If it pleases you, I would be happy to take a walk with you in the bailey and discuss our lands while enjoying the beauty of this one. Or I could teach you a song. Even such a simple thing has become quite useful of late. If you're troubled by any mischievous fairies, I believe I can help.

[And maybe make herself as rich as a Lannister in the process.]

I started with something a little sweet, a love song. But they seem to humorous songs as well.

We're twins. Before recently, hadn't talked in a while, but...

[ Well, they're twins. ]

I can't say I know a lot of love songs, but I know a few funny ones, I guess.

But I imagine it to still be an incredible bond that you share.

[Though...hopefully not as close as some twins.]

Really? Would it be alright if I listened to you sing one sometime?

I'm not very good. Probably why they're so funny.

Why would you need one? I'd be happy to talk to your heart's delight. Besides that, I'm sure there's a number of things to be curious about. For example, I don't even know you name.

John. Staff Sergeant John Grimm, United States Marines -- though I don't know if that means much, considering all the different places people are from.

Boring is an afternoon spend embroidering roses while listening to two young cousins argue over which knight has the cutest squire. I only wish I had your company in Highgarden.

[Margaery tilts her head at that.]

It sounds like a very important title.

... Yeah, I'll definitely give you that one.

[ He snorts a little. ]

Means I'm in the military, but I'm no commissioned officer.

So you're a soldier? Now I'm certain you have stories to tell, and some colorful ones at that.

[ And bloody ones. But those aren't the ones he's going to tell. ]

Very colorful. If my sister were here, I think she'd find a way to tell me off for even thinking about sharing them.

[There's a gentle tilt of her head. Someone's clearly interested.]

But as fate would have it, she isn't.

[ You're a bad influence, Margaery.

He kind of loves it. ]

There any sort of specific story you'd like to hear?

[She's just getting warmed up.

There's a thoughtful hum before she looks at him, eyes bright.]

Have you ever feared for your life?

Several times.

[ None of which are actually times he would like to talk about, but... pretty lady. ]

Though usually it's the other way around.

You're a dangerous man, then.

[There's a tug to one corner of her grin, pure mischief before her expression changes to something a little more wide-eyed.]

Would I have anything fear?

Everyone in my unit got a nickname. Mine was 'Reaper'.

[ If that even... means anything to her.

Shaking his head, John can't quite hide the upturn to his lips. ]

Not unless you decide to try and kill me, no.

'Reaper'?

[She repeats it like a foreign word on her tongue, begging explanation.

She laughs a little at that.]

That shall never happen, I assure you.

[That's what she has brothers and grandmas for.]

[ John holds his arm up to the locket. The Grim Reaper is tattooed there, scythe swinging. ]

The Grim Reaper. Death himself.

[ It's nice imagery, if nothing else. ]

Well, then you're perfectly safe with me.

[ And he can't say he'd blame those brothers and grandmas if he did hurt her. ]

A frightening mark and a frightening title for a man who seems so pleasant. You're quite the enigma, aren't you?
