[Margaery's composed on the locket, a soft smile on her lips, hair loose and flowing down her shoulders. If nothing else, the fashions of the Seelie Court suit her. There are fine tapestries on the wall behind her. Yeah, she got a nice room, too.]

I've been remiss in introducing myself these many weeks, I hope you'll forgive me for that. My name is Margaery Tyrell of House Tyrell. Some of you may already know my brother, Loras, whose company I am grateful for every day.

[And, more recently, for his sword.]

Some of you who've so recently arrived may be missing loved ones of your own, but take heart. They may yet find you. I only pray that the courts won't keep you separated.

[She glances off to the side. Woe her darling husband-to-be. She looks back again.]

I am no warrior myself, but I've been trying to find my purpose here as a healer, as well as helping with morale. If it pleases you, I would be happy to take a walk with you in the bailey and discuss our lands while enjoying the beauty of this one. Or I could teach you a song. Even such a simple thing has become quite useful of late. If you're troubled by any mischievous fairies, I believe I can help.

[And maybe make herself as rich as a Lannister in the process.]

Tell me, what do you think your role is?

My role, huh?

[ He already knows what his role is, or what he thinks it is. He'd sacrificed everything in place for his parents sins, but... That's a bit complicated to say to a total stranger, isn't it? There was more to it then that, too, so it's only after a moment he founds his words. ]

To find a way to protect everyone's happiness if I can help it.

[Margaery blinks at that, caught a little off guard at the sincerity. A little smile curves her lips.]

That is quite the noble role. I hope you don't plan on taking it all on yourself.

[ He looks rather sheepish, but ends up shrugging his shoulders vaguely.

It's the reason why I was born. As long as I can protect the people around me, that's what I'm going to do.

And does my brave knight have a name?

[ That makes him turn red. ]

My name's Ao, Ao Fukai. I'm not a knight or anything.

[And such a lovely shade of it.]

Well Ao, you're still as noble as any knight I've ever met.

[ Give him a minute. He's trying hard not to die or mention how she mustn't have met many decent ones and then settles. ]

What kind of person would want to live in a world where they let people get hurt?

I'm afraid there are an unfortunate number of them where I'm from.

...Then we'll just need to find a way to help.

[ Hey, he's rewrote time and traveled to different worlds. It's totally possible to change it? ]

[She smiles gently at that, but not mocking.]

You truly would help everyone.

Does that really seem that unbelievable?

[ It's a serious question. He doesn't care about who people are, he's a member of Pied Piper-- no, he's Ao Fukai-- he will protect the people around him. ]

Yes and no. I believe that there are still good people, but even good people grow weary.

Don't you?

[ He pauses. He knew weary people. The island he was born on hated him for being the child of Eureka, the woman who fell from the sky. They blamed her and him on the Scub Burst that happened ten years ago. Blamed him for the one that happened a year ago. Beat him and burned his home, but still... 'Don't hate people, Ao.

That was the island he grew up on. The island he loved. The people he loved. Despite everything that happened. Everyone there-- beyond that island, the entire planet-- had lived. He couldn't blame them.

Tugging at the hood of his cloak, he considered before ducking his head slightly as he spoke. Despite that, however, his words were firm. ]

A while ago, I would have said the same thing. I think I would have but... Everyone-- In every land, every world. Of every race and species, we're all working for the same thing. We're working for a life to hold onto, a world we want to be a part of.

Even if things go bad, isn't that amazing?

People react strongly when they think they're going to lose something they love. I--It's wrong of them, but they don't know how else to act! That's why... I can't blame them, but I'm not going to act in such a way where I have to apologize for the kids that come after me.

So, so long as I'm here-- I'm going to help make the world everyone strives for possible. It doesn't matter if it means stopping wars or being alone, if it's something I can do I will.

[It's quite interesting, the way he speaks, and Margaery can sense that there's a story behind it. She tilts her head as she listens. She's highborn, and she hasn't had to work nearly as hard for the life that he describes. But she's worked enough with the lowborn to know that some desires truly are the same for everyone - happiness, healthy children, plenty of food for the next long winter. Peace.

She purses her lips when she's finished.]

If you can do all of that, then I can do my part, and make sure that you're not alone.

[ It was funny how little social hierarchy meant to him in a place like this. For little more then the difference of perspectives did they see them for. Everyone input efforts into what they could or would. Some put more, others less, but if the truly cared they did their best. That was a fundamental he knew.

He's already alone, though. At least if he were in is home right now he knew his circumstances would be an anomaly. He didn't know where he was supposed to be or when. Worse yet, if this body would last in any world he visited. The probability of ending up like his sister was high.

But maybe the quartz gun had done its job and somehow being here was a second chance. There were no Scubs so far as he could tell... So wasn't that good? He tried to push back the concern and instead tried for a smile uncertain smile.

[And she pauses, remembering something else that she wanted to ask.]

How old are you, Ao? How many name days have you seen?

[ Her statement alone makes him turn faintly pink. He hadn't had many friends in the end, had he? Naru was the first... Elena and Fleur were his teammates who became friends. Team Goldilocks... He wasn't sure what to call the Gazelle company... And then there was Mom Hana and Team Harlequin. In all there wasn't many he'd call friends, but the words sounded nice.

He manages to push them aside and look confused at her question. ]

...I'm thirteen. I was just about to start middle school. But I don't see what age has to do with anything.

Forgive me. It's rare to see one so young be so wise.

Adults don't know everything. And they don't experience everything either. Just because we're kids doesn't mean we haven't lived or seen difficult things.

Everyone has their own voice.
