I was doing a little reading on this world's magic, and I'm interested in learning more about elemental magic here, particularly earth magic -- or earth-bending as I've heard some people call it.

Well, fire magic apparently doesn't work here anymore so I thought I'd look into some of the other elements.

They use runes here to cast spells; did you know?

Runes? [ cloud thinks about that for a bit, and-- yeah, he has no idea what those are. ] They work differently from materia, I'm guessing.

I think it's the same concept, actually. They have different runes for different spells.

Like how we have materia for fire magic. They have runes for the same thing, and you have to master them over time.
