He's taking a small break from all of the war preparations, and he has some questions for you all. ]

Hi, everyone. I know this has been a really busy month for all of us, so I won't take up too much time.

I was doing a little reading on this world's magic, and I'm interested in learning more about elemental magic here, particularly earth magic -- or earth-bending as I've heard some people call it.

I think it would be fair to call her that, yeah. She taught me that you have to listen to the earth. It's not the fastest, but it is the strongest.

Is that why you're interested in it?

That's true.

I'd say I'm exploring my options since my fire magic isn't working so well right now.

Being able to move earth seems like a handy skill.

Yeah, that was a tough blow to a lot of people. I think this is a good alternative.

[If they lose the ground beneath their feet, well. That's it.]

I'm glad to hear someone else things that way. It doesn't seem as flashy as some of the other types of magic, I guess.

It is.

[ At this stage, Zack is thankful he does have some functional Materia, even though they lost their leveled status. He's a swordsman first, but it's good to have some magical support.

Zack smiles a bit. ]

I grew out of flashy a couple years ago. Practicality works out better for me.
