[Vanessa turns on her locket, placing it on the table. She looks...much better than she had before. In fact, people can catch glimpses of a wedding dress.

As of this morning, I am no longer Lady Vanessa Ives.

[She looks down at her hands for a moment, then back at the screen. She taps into her ability to remain stoic in the face of horrible things. The public does not need to know how much this angers her, or how helpless she feels.]

To better Arachne's Eye, Queen Morla has decided that it would be best for me to marry.

[As she was given no real choice.]

Henceforth, you would do well to refer to me by my husband Balem's last name, Abrasax.

[Yep. Lady Vanessa Abrasax. Wife to Balem. Lovely. She knows very well who is getting the most out of this deal. And it is not her.]

We have worked out the logistics, and while we are married, I will still spend a great deal of my time at my Spire, and will continue to be open to any of those who need to speak with me.

My plans...to make sure the Seelie pay, are unchanged. Just delayed.

[Her goal is still a fixed point.]

[His frustration with Morla is boiling over. Whether it'll remain this way isn't a certainty, but he doesn't think they can really be told that it's good that they break boundaries and then be expected to sit tight.]

You're right.

[Jason has always spoken freely over these, and he does not think that Morla would be surprised at his sentiment, exactly. But there is still some tension, and he's still upset with her.]

Sorry. [He pauses.] Both to you and Morla. I'm not gonna pretend to be happy with this, because I don't like what it means for us. But this isn't how I should be expressing it. [That isn't going to curb his agitation, and he will still have spikes of anger later.

But remembering that she can see it makes him repress some of it for now.

(At heart, beneath his anger, he still does deeply care for Morla. It's that same feeling that makes him angry now.)]

[In some ways, he reminds her of Victor. Just a great deal much more angry.]

It might be selfish. I haven't worked it all out yet.

[A chunk of it is selfish, but he does care. Deep down, he really is some stupid kid who wanted to save people. Stuff like this just does a great job of dragging it right out of him.]
