Apparently I've been sleeping for a long time.

[ Not that he really remembers falling asleep... but if waking up in an unfamiliar bed with a familiar friend sleeping half-sprawled out on top of him is any indication, he's certainly been asleep. And based on the date, it's been for a while.

Luckily, as unnerving as an extended sleep is, there doesn't appear to be any Xehanort here to take advantage of that. A sleep was all it was. ]

I'm still trying to catch up on everything I missed while I was asleep. I know more people arrived to the court, but what's going on with all these war preparations? Did something happen?

[ His tone lightens as he responds to her other words. ]

And thanks. I can't say I'm happy he wound up here too, but if he had to wind up here, I'm glad it's somewhere I can keep an eye on him.

( that gets a wry laugh. she's helped enough Banshees now to know that yeah, not the sort of sound that puts you to sleep. )

I know the feeling. Someone from home showed up for me, too, and I missed him but it's hard to think of him being in a war.

[ He isn't sure whether he should be glad the two of them could be reunited, or unhappy that he's been brought to a war zone. ]

( for her, it's a little of both. she loves having Henry with her, she doesn't love that it's so dangerous here. )

My son. Henry. He's from ... the future, so that's been something, but I missed him a lot.

[Because. Emma, he met a Henry. Surely this is the same one. Sora just never realized at the time, okay.]

That's great! I mean, that you found him. Not that he's....here, with all of this, exactly? But it's okay. Just because he remembers more doesn't mean it's a bad thing? Riku remembers a lot more than I do, I think.

[Sorry bff. But like you never expected him not to butt in like this? Honestly.]

[ Pff, he's used to Sora butting in on conversations. Riku barely even blinks at the interjection. ]

Yeah, I do remember more than Sora does.

[ It's... tough, he thinks. Or it will be, knowing that Sora will want to know everything about their future. ]

I'm glad you managed to find each other, too.

( Emma barely even realized the lockets allowed a three-way conversation... but despite being surprised, she doesn't seemed to mind. )

If you met the one with dark hair and dark eyes about my height, then yes, that would be my Henry. ( he's too tall now... she's still not over that. ) Thanks. I'm glad to see him again, though I'm not sure this would have been the way I'd have chosen to make it happen.

( she'd rather have gone home. all of them can relate to that, likely enough. )

Awesome! I mean. I get it. This place isn't supposed to be the safest but I'm sure he's still glad to be with you all the same.

[He is grinning at that, perhaps slightly awkward because of the reminders of his own parents back home that had no clue on any of what he got up to since leaving the Islands. As far as he knows. But they'll figure it.]

And yeah, of course. I guess the only one that's missing now is Kairi but we'll see if she does show up. For now I'm just glad I found Riku at least.
