♔ II ► VIDEO 【UNSEELIE LOCKETS + HERMIONENET COMPASS】
( Today, she is beautifully dressed in a gown of dark green, and her hair is braided in a crown about her head, with some loose curls falling past her shoulders. Appearance is everything today, when she has such a request to make. It is not as humbling as she might have expected, to be in such a position as to need to ask for aid; perhaps it is because it is not for her, personally.
But rather an endeavour which may benefit all. Carefully, at first, she smiles, an expression which gains warmth after a few seconds. )
I greet all of you well. And pray that all of you are doing all right. Sadly, as we are all keenly aware, such a state will not long be enjoyed by many of our native brethren. The Void would consume Leathann, and I commend the great efforts being made by all to keep it at bay.
Yet the isle of Briste to the north is in similarly dire straits, and I would make a great effort there to see their people saved from death, if the Void is not stopped ere it might swallow the isle. I know not if raising it might be viable option; rather, I have struck up an overture, a dialogue with their Council of elders.
My hope is this: that we might relocate the people to a settlement on the coast of the mainland here. If I might secure their trust and blessing to do so, I will lead their people to the head of the North road. There, I propose a settlement be built, which may in time grow into something greater.
I would do this myself, but I lack the funds to. Thus I appeal to you all: please, aid me in this. I will either repay you in turn or owe you a favour later, for certain. I would not ask for donations unless it is within your wisdom to provide one. Either way, you would bear my eternal gratitude for this.
These people may be hesitant to trust us, but they deserve a better fate than that which awaits them if we do naught.

( The statement might otherwise be sorrowful, were there not warmth filling her tone and a smile upon her face. It is her chance, her one chance to protect her family as she should as the eldest and give them the greatest gift of all: a world in which to live their lives to the fullest. The sacrifice is worth it, she tells herself.
And she is most certainly not lacking in company. )
Very good! I will ask her then, and see what the lady says in reply. The birds are a perfect option, and I thank you! It will be good to speak to you regularly. You seem a good and gentle woman.

[Not outright referring to the courts and their being on the opposite one, but that's obvious enough. She can sense that smile, that warmth all the same. Lizzie really is just as genuine, from what she can tell.]
Of course. Just let me know and I can try get there. I won't need as much advance notice, Leopold will get me there quick enough. I just figured, if we did need another option besides the lockets. I'm glad you approve though.
[As for being 'good and gentle'. Well. She did miss out on the story time with Snow reading how she first met Charming, after all. Most probably do underestimate her not realizing her previous bandit ways, though she still is both of those things underneath it all, undoubtedly.]

I find myself most glad to benefit from your wisdom, complications or nay.
( So many others are orphaned young. Truly, as bad as her life has been, it could always, invariably have gone worse. Perhaps precisely what Snow may be thinking; they tend to agree often, so she wonders.
She is genuine now. Her lover is of the Seelie court, and she would do naught to jeopardise his safety or that of any other unduly. It renders her a traitor, that much she knows. )
They are indeed a good option. I trust not these devices overmuch either. Nor should we. I should like to learn to enchant such objects, myself.

[People are here from different times, after all. Even if some are from the same world. She would like to make that assumption that those back home don't miss them in the interim all the same. Charming would be out of his mind if that were the case, never resting until he found out what happened, how to follow.]
I understand. I'm slowly figuring some research myself, but that's mostly theory for the time being. At the least, there are these, and other options until we get that accomplished to figure something our own.

( She is a simple medieval noblewoman, and understands not the principle of quantum physics. All she knows is her own personal experience: that she is the eldest sister who remains duty-bound to protect her siblings, and is now fit to do so. Worry for them consumes her, as the Void encroaches upon the world, and makes her nervous and frightened.
All in all, she remains very much a young girl, feeling very much out of her depth. It is Snow's words which begin to ground her anew, and she releases a soft sigh. )
These are much better than what we had before: naught. But we must exercise caution at all times. I would never wish for harm to befall you, lady.

[Magic is commonplace in Snow's life. Enough that travel through time or portals to other worlds are not unheard of. Just not things she herself anticipated in such a fashion as this, with the Drabwurld. She knows others are not as familiar with such concepts so doesn't go into any more speculation or detail. Everyone is worried and fearful enough regardless of such worrying and pondering on matters back home.]
And I to you. We'll be cautious to try avoid that happening.

( Little by little, her bout of fright ebbs away until she feels anchored and sure of herself and her purpose once again. Her smile is soft and filled with gratitude as she eases further. )
Yes. I think I would like to commence building first, whilst I work to convince the people to move. That way, they will have something to look forward to.
I will send you a letter when the time is right, and we can coordinate from there. Is that all right?

[She's still cautious even with the compasses on saying too much. Doesn't want to get either of them in trouble, so figures best to sort things outside of the network entirely if possible. Though there's a faint smile all the same in some sort of reassurance.]
