[video] UNSEELIE LOCKED;
So, guys. You remember when we lost all the fire magic in the world to the Void because of reasons?
Well, we've got some hope here. Well, a small, puppy-like, really adorable hope, and his name is Kaio. He's a new god forged from some god of the forge and a shardbearer, and I'm sure some of you have seen him around, because I sure have.
But more importantly, he's going to need shrines, and offerings. I know a lot of you lost those powers and want them back, or even if you just want to get the ability to learn those powers. He's our chance to bring back fire magic into this world again.
I've currently got one in my castle, and I'll be setting up a large shrine to him at Spire Four itself, but he'll need more. So if you guys can set up something of your own, burn offerings in his name, spread the word, you know the drill.
And hey, if he comes by, remember to give him plenty of tummy rubs and ear scratches, he really loves those.

[a puppy for a god. charming.]

It's simple, really. You can put up a likeness of him somewhere in an empty space, and just dedicate whatever you burn to him. Incense, maybe a chicken, probably lots of bones...
You're gonna put one up, huh?

Do you have a likeness of him I could look at, to remember and then attempt to recreate?

[ He'd actually sat one of the village artists down for a couple of hours just so they could come up with a likeness of him, and it's pretty damn close. ] I can have it delivered over to you within the day. Where are you at, Lady Grell?
[ She unsettles him, just a little, ever since he discovered that her words could very possibly make him much more aggressive.
Dude, that's a freakin' awesome power.]no subject
[not "Johnny", not right now. formality was more fitting.]

He pauses at that, then. ] No, it's really no trouble at all. Thanks for doing that -- Kaio will need all the help that he can get. [ But he's secretly worried for Kaio and his chances of survival if he does not have enough. ] I hear it'll be good to light fires in his name, too.
[ He pauses. ] By the way, that power you've got. The one you used on me? That was interesting.

Are you upset at me for using it?

At first. Then I realised why you did it, and why it had to happen. [ It was war, plain and simple; he couldn't afford to hesitate. In the command there had been clarity, whether borrowed or born, it doesn't matter anymore. ] Is it something you've always had?

[she says it simply, a fact that was.]

[ Johnny's heard the directive loud and clear -- and for that he is fascinated, it would've been so easy to command people to fight to the death; to take as many Seelie down with them before they draw their last breath. ] I'm not sure anyone else would've used it the way you did.

[she says it lightly, but she knows what he's implying, what she could have so easily shouted to those following her. it's not entirely for the Court she does it, for in part it's thanks to a certain other whose traces even now linger.]

[ He can't deny her point there, but still, he's curious. He's never truly been given an opportunity to speak with her, to find out more about his fellow compatriot -- now's as good a time as any. ]
Were you always a warrior?
no subject
[she knows exactly how that sounds, and that's why she said it. it's true, just not in the way he'll think it is.]
But I feel as thought being a warrior was more a calling I picked up once I got here and took to because I was meant to do it. My storybook destiny, in other words.
