I'm sure by now we're all aware of th' Shuck's decree.
[Sup, Drabwurld? It's your resident princess coming to you live from the back of a flying bison. When Korra had asked her if she wanted to go to Quendi to see the Shuck, she'd jumped at the chance, and now her friend was holding her compass and her locket for her so she could talk while they flew there.
As excited as Merida is that the ban on interacting with Unseelie has been temporarily lifted, it doesn't mean that she'll get to see everyone that she's missed, or that they'll be happy to see her. Instead, she focuses on what she wants to talk about.]
To those seekin' Him, I suggest takin' an offerin'. When talkin' to gods, you should always be respectful, while keepin' in mind that He can an' will kill should He feel it necessary. He is the god of death in this world, an' you'll do well to humble yourself before Him.
[With that out of the way, she clears her throat.]
Banshee are beings of lore in my world an' time. They're women who met with terrible fates an' wail when someone is to perish. Bean nighe we call them, for they wash th' blood from the grave clothes of those who are about to die. I've heard tales that they are spirits who died givin' birth, but that might not always be th' case. Sometimes they lose things, such as hair combs. Perhaps these might help them regain their voices.
[For banshees to lose their voice makes her worry. Is it to do with the vision that Ben had? With the sightings of the White Hart scampering through the cities a month ago with death on His heels?]
Help them. Aid them as He's asked, in any way you can. This is a balance that shouldn't be broken.

[She can remember the first time she gave offering to the Shuck, how ill prepared she'd been. Merida shakes her head.]
I didn't think so either. Th' banshee are His harbingers, they call when He comes. For someone to have taken their voices...it worries me.

I see. Thank you for the information on what to bring Him. [At the mention of the banshees and Merida's worry, he adds his own, at least a little. As much as this man can look worried, when he's on a mission right now to save those banshees.]
You believe someone is responsible for it, Merida?

[She's always willing to tell and give advice on the Shuck, so that people do not posture themselves as fools. There were many who did so that first Samhain. The question makes her incline her head.]
What else could take a banshee's voice? They're dead, they can't very well get sick enough to catch such a plague.

[Nothing she would mention over the lockets or compass at least. She shakes her head.]
I just know that whatever it is, it's important that we get their voices back.

Indeed. I agree completely, and will be fully devoting myself to that cause. Miss Merida, do you have any recommendations for how one should address the Shuck or act in His presence, anything at all? Needless to say, I do not intend to bother him, but I have found with gods that it is best to worship them in the way they would like to be worshiped.

[She nods in agreement with that.]
Call Him by His old names, th' ones that we call on Samhain. Humble yourself in His presence, do not be a fool an' think him unworthy of your respect. He will judge you as He sees fit.

Old Shadow, Dog of Death. [Merida tilts her head.] I used to hear about people back home who didn't use th' names of th' gods of death for fear of bringin' them down upon them.

It's an understandable superstition.
[It isn't one that will hold him back, however. He recites the names of honor of the gods in this realm with respect.]
Thank you, again. May you be safe in your travels, and may you save many banshees.
