In light of the decree given by the Black Shuck, I am seeking to try and create a database of banshee sightings, to try and help get teams of people or individuals out to the exact location and to give them a hand. To that extent, if anyone is willing to volunteer where they’re interested in heading, so that a note of it might be made and more ground can be be covered by others checking to see if an area has been seen to, please let me know. The goal is to organize something useful, so that this can be done as completely as plausible.

Hi all. To make a long story short, with the temporary lax standards the Shuck has forced our monarchs to to take, I’m temporarily allowing Unseelie and Seelie alike into the Barrel to try and get this banshee task attended to in the most concise manner possible. I’m trying to collect all possible sightings, and I’ll be happy to pass on spots to check out for anyone who’s interested in restoring their voices.

Obviously for everyone’s safety I’m going to ask that those of you making use of the Barrel try and not go too far astray from the task before us. However, if you need a place for final farewells, I’m not exactly going to stop you either.

Please let me know if you have questions, otherwise I do look forward to seeing a number of you for a final round of cooperation before we have to get back to killing each other.

I've thought the same. The Unseelie would fight for the present, at the expense of all that might come to pass. [ A pause. ] And while I fight for the Seelie, they would sacrifice the present in order to preserve the future. And each would have us believe that those are the only choices and we must choose the most appealing to us.

[ And if it came down to it, Cullen does wonder if this is really what he'd take. ]

Perhaps the Shuck and the Hart might be the keys to finding another way.

[--Shit, Waver couldn't even be mad at the thought of asking it.]

Not only that, it's a contradiction. The Unseelie are about change, but they strive to preserve. The Seelie focus on order, but their end goal is destruction. The dichotomy is full of this, and it's a huge problem.

[He sighs, wishing that the notion the Shuck and the Hart might be those keys.]

It'd be a blessing if they were. Goodness knows that this war's been going on for long enough that there's been a ton of failed attempts to cut the proverbial knot.

I've learned from my own world that there is hardly ever one group that is right in these sorts of conflicts. There are good and bad people on both sides.

Which is something of a discouragement to those of us that would seek another way. If they haven't succeeded in the thousands of years before us, why should we succeed now?

[ Even so... ]

Still, as we near the end of the war, people become desperate. And Maker-willing, that desperation will lead us to another way.

You've answered your own question, I think. Desperation is what makes us willing to take large risks when otherwise we'd hesitate. I know it often feels like that's the case, speaking solely to my own perspective and experience.

[The right attack at the right time. That was what Waver had learned from the politics of Clock Tower. It had served him in the Drabwurld well so far, but now, now there was doubt creeping in.]

We need to start finding leads for that way though. [The guideposts Waver had for that other way are now gone.]

You're right, though with the monarchs increasing their punsishments for fraternization, they seem more determined than ever to have the war play out the course they've set out.

I've gotten some indication that another might have set the course, actually. Or at least influenced the terms. [Loki had turned up something very, very interesting on that front.]

[Or so openly. A late ally had a plan in mind, but Waver wants to follow up on it before he dares to tell anyone else about it.]

Is there nothing more you can tell me? If not here, then... in person? I worry that this might be nearing the last time that we are able to speak so openly without repercussion.

It's something that I don't dare circulate widely. Not just for the safety of the plan, but because if this miscarries then the blame must be condensed, so that others might pursue other paths.

I will keep you updated though, even if it proves a failure.

Try not to put yourself into harm's way. It is a foolish thing to say now, but the more of us stay alive, the longer we have before this war reaches its conclusion.

I have... more than a few connections in Treun. I doubt no one will question the Guard-Captain of Caer Glaem making sure that the Unseelie Shardbearers continue to honour their truce.

And Treun might well be full of information of recent sightings. What's your travel speed like?
