[Po is lying on his back somewhere, the video of him is from the side. He has a large piece of ice wrapped in cloth across his face. Particularly over his eyes.]
I'm told there are those that know ice magic. If possible, I would like to learn.

[he lifts the ice from his face. One eye is swollen shut while the other is just slightly bruised. Yes, he was in a fight. Yes, it was awesome. Yes, he's paying for it now. He smiles slightly at the video feed before putting the ice back over his eyes.]

I think those in charge of the ice houses are getting tired of me begging for pieces. If not for me, do it for the poor souls whose livelihood I'm threatening.

It's become something of a daily routine.

Yeah, that'd do it. [It's still funny though.] Is it really sparring though if she just keeps hitting you?

It is!

These practices so our Graces can grow through the challenge. I had never truly lost a fight until I met her. It was the best experience of my life.

Oh. [It's a sound that means it's finally clicked that this is someone who knows Katsa from home and not just somebody she felt like kicking around.] I didn't know anyone from her world showed up.

[He pauses, tilting his head at the camera as if it'd help him get a better look.] Your Grace isn't like hers. But what is it?

Nor I have any idea she was here but we found each other quick enough. I'm Po, by the way.

Fighting. [his gut twists with how easy it is to lie.] I prefer hand-to-hand but I can fight with weapons just as well. [He gestures blindly above him sort of miming sword fighting. while on his back. with ice covering his eyes. y e p anyone can see he's a fighter.]

I'm Hiro. Sometimes it's hard to figure out who's here and who isn't right away so I guess that's fair enough. [Somehow that makes sense to him.

What doesn't exactly add up is what else Po's saying and he squints slightly.] Wait, if your Grace is fighting and hers is just surviving shouldn't yours be trumping hers?

Hers tends to trump mine, honestly. She can survive any fight, meaning: any attack I use she will find a way around. Perhaps not the first time but she'll learn quickly. Then I must stretch my own Grace to fight with hers in mind.

Our sparring matches are to help our Graces grow. Either of us could win a match but our Graces give us little advantage against each other so we use what little we have.

Doesn't seem that different from any other sparring matches. [Katsa's only really told him about Graces once or twice and usually in the context of how they act as something that gives people the idea they can dictate how Gracelings live. He's curious how they work and he might be staring just a little more to see what colors Po's eyes are.]

A Grace can't be weakened over time, can it? It can just get stronger the more you train with it?
