[What's captured by the locket is the image of an unsmiling, expressionless man, but those who know Kotomine Kirei -- perhaps from around Caer Glaem or one of the chapels surrounding it or Leathann -- might note there's a little bit more energy to him. He's in Leathann now, in fact, riding down a street on horseback, his cleg's wings carefully folded back.
A golden cross hangs from his neck, so even those who don't know him may be able to guess at what he is.]
It's fortunate to see the number of victims suffering from the silver sickness decreasing instead of increasing, finally. Still, if you or someone you know should require healing to halt the disease's progress while you search for your cures, don't hesitate to contact me. I hope you are all well, or become well soon enough.
[He doesn't... well, his deep voice doesn't sound very cheerful or uplifting about anything, but at least he's calm and composed. Maybe he gives the impression of someone who would be a good healer. Apparently Kirei has more he wants to ask, however, and he's not done yet.]
It seems like a good time, though, to ask a few questions. I am new to the Drabwurld and would like to find out all I can. Specifically, I would like to know about the Void.
[That topic is mentioned as emotionlessly as if he were discussing the weather. It is nearby, visible a few miles distant from the coast of Leathann.]
What is known about it, at this point? How quickly does it move? What's been done with regard to it, both on our side and by our enemies? If you're able to provide any information at all, I'll be grateful.

[ It's actually not a bad idea, and he's honestly pretty curious. He just doesn't want to accidentally end up drawn in and eaten by it when he's been here for less than a month. ]
What did you have in mind? I can get to Leathann pretty quickly...

I intend to be cautious. There's nothing to gain from investigating it if we aren't able to report back. Do you have a cleg?
[Stopping, he indicates the winged horse he rides on.]
They can fly. We could travel to the Void by air.
no subject
A "cleg"?
[ He repeats it, amused. ]
I've got a ceffyl dŵr, but I don't know if I want her to get that close to the Void. I can fly her to Leathann but I don't really want to risk her.
[ Or risk her getting nervous and going insubstantial when they get too close. ]

Hm. I'm not familiar with those... The clegs are simply horses with wings. [Don't make fun of his awesome horse, Dick.] He is fairly new to me himself, so I won't be pushing him, either.
[... Much.]
We'll see how far we can go, and no further.

[ He nods thoughtfully. ]
Right, well. Do you have a limit in mind? What if your mount's really loyal and is willing to follow you 'unto the breach,' if you know what I mean?

As I said before, I don't plan to die. I'll pull back the second I feel myself or my cleg being dragged in by the Void, or if something else dangerous should occur.
[His poor horse.]

What if your cleg doesn't have the strength to pull back? There's nothing to brace against in the air.
no subject
[That probably deserves an explanation.]
This is child's play compared to what I've survived and faced in battle.

[That's what he means by what's "child's play". It... Well, hopefully it sounds more reasonable that way?
He certainly doesn't discount the threat of the war or the Void itself.]
I will continue to fight for the Seelie.

Right, well. I can meet you on the coasts of Leathann. Any particular place? Or should I just wander the coastline until I see you?
ooc: would you like to do a log with this? i can ask the mods about how far they can get, etc., too!
Near the south of Leathann there is a chapel with a tall spire. Look for that, and I'll be waiting at the coast. --Ah, forgive my manners. My name is Kirei Kotomine. If you ask anyone around the chapel, they should be able to help point you in the right direction.
yes :D! ...dick just invited hercules along too ftr...
That sounds Japanese. Should I be calling you Kirei or Kotomine? And uh, yeah, sorry. I'm Dick, Dick Grayson. Hi.
oh my god that sounds amazing! i will set it up for all three of us when i hear back!
[He's spent a lot of time away from it, though.]
You can call me whatever you prefer. Perhaps just "Kirei" would suit more.
[Because you sound awfully English-speaking, bro.]
Regardless, it's nice to make your acquaintance, Dick Grayson. My cleg and I will be here.
\o/ I'm excited!
Yeah, it's nice to meet you too. Give me a few days, anyway. I've got some stuff to take care of here first. Say... Three days? That okay?
me too uwu
... Three days is fine. Please contact me via the lockets if you must, until then.

Yeah, same. I'll see you then!
