( how does she even start with this? she's never actually broadcasted to the locket network before, nevermind during something as awful as a sickness spreading. but- it's her job, right? it's her job to look after the health of the Unseelie court.

the feed starts and it's clear that Clarke is in the Caer Scima library; the curse has already begun to sprawl up her neck in fine lines of silver, stopping short of her jaw. despite the fact that she's obviously been affected by the illness, those who are familiar with Clarke will be able to tell she's still in good spirits, despite the seriousness of the subject. )

Hi. My name is Clarke Griffin. As some of you have already noticed, a lot of people have started to turn silver, like this. ( she reaches up, pulling down the collar of her shirt to show the lines of silver that disappear beneath her clothes. ) From what I've gathered so far, it's affecting those who have influence in either court, or who hold a reputation in the courts or the lands surrounding them, and we can infect anyone by skin-to-skin touch or by the exchange of bodily fluids, in whatever manner that might be.

Here they call me a Midach, in some worlds I'd be lead healer, and in others the Minister of Health. ( normally she- wouldn't actually bother telling anyone about that, but it leads into why she has any sort of weight in this. ) The idea was put forward for me to issue a quarantine of the infected, but with it being spread out from Dorchadas, I hardly see that being an effective wait of containing it. Plus- The more people we have out looking for a cure, the better.

Right now, my suggestions are these: if you wish to touch your loved ones, wear gloves, clothing, do not allow the direct touch of skin if you are infected. If you're one of our vampire residents, please be cautious of who you're drinking from. And if you're already infected, you should refrain from sex until a cure is found, lest you infect the other person, or people. If you attended the festivities yesterday and weren't already infected, you may want to double check yourself for the illness.

I'm setting up research hubs in both the Caer Scima library and the Station so that we have centralized places to pour information into while still making it accessible via fairy ring. I have offices in both those locations as well, so if you're looking for me, I can be found there or over the lockets. If you have any information about cures, spread it as far as you can. Lockets, word of mouth, shout it from the top of the castle if you want to, just make sure the information is getting out there.

I'll be leaving a recurring message running on my locket of cure suggestions as they come in, so you can give it a listen if you haven't found anything yet.

And if I can help you in any way, you can find me in either of the places above, via the locket, or I'll be responding to this broadcast as I can.

I've heard little things here and there. People who did a favour for a member of the opposite court and being cured of it, laying down arms instead of attacking cured another, whereas some simply bathe in the waters of Loch Noa and come out with the silver washed away. Either all of these have worked, or they're all untrue rumours.

This you know already, however for the sake of putting the option out there, as it were, attached to the clinic south of the Station is a laboratory. I try to remain fairly well equipped in both areas, both buildings and all resources therein are open for use.

I'll definitely be directing people your way, doctor. I know there must be some among our numbers who would know how to mix a cure in the form of potions or other orally taken medicines. They might have better luck in using your lab than the castle medical ward for it, given the capabilities of the Station and its surrounding area.

( knowing that more medical personnel have arrived with the new shardbearers at the start of the month is definitely a comfort, one that she needs. )

Hopefully in doing so we can stop any further spread. Or at least discourage people from it.

My abilities lie more in the laboratory than out in the field, but I suppose I can make an exception during an outbreak. Where would I be of most use, keeping in mind that I am so far unaffected by the silver?

[ Unaffected and planning to remain that way. At least from the announcement, they seem to have some rough idea of infectious disease protocols. ]

There are too many variables at play to easily judge the effectiveness of your message. Rate of infection and spread being the key ones.

You may want to follow up with Dr. Jekyll, if you're more comfortable in a laboratory setting. He has a lab near the Station, and I've been directing people there to see if we can put some type of oral or injectable cure together that way. He's also unaffected by the illness, so there's no risk of infection there.

That- Would be immensely helpful. I haven't had time to get there between Caer Scima and the Station, so having other people looking there would be really great.

I know Le Café Petit Théâtre, near the University, is also acting as a research hub, but I haven't heard of anyone in the University library itself yet.

Lincoln taught me how he collects plants for medicine. Keeping track without labels, or whatever. I can do that. Tell me there's something I can go find.

( Clarke's quiet for a moment, rubbing one hand against her forehead while another flips through one of the books in front of her. she remembers reading about something- )

Down in the Pastures of Treun -- you can get there using the Fairy Rings -- there are flowers that are white in the daylight and glow a dark purple once the sun goes down. Supposedly if you mix those in with some dried berries from the La Llorona forest, you can rub the mixture into the sickness to make it go away.

[ she's just excited she actually gave her something to do. though maybe she shouldn't be so surprised - she and Clarke might come at things a little differently, but she's never underestimated her. meanwhile she hasn't really explored that far beyond where the rings are easily accessible, but she's confident ]

I'll take one of your maps. And one or two of Bell's knives. ... Just don't tell him until I'm already gone, okay?

[ definitely just a joke, but whatever. they can do that. scary sickness is slowly possibly killing the two people she's closest to, but jokes are still ok ]

I'll have a consistently updated voice message with cure information tapped into my locket for lists of cures. If anything changes in the way it's transmitted, I'll list that there as well, but I think what I've outlined is all that actually affects it-

I'll be sure to direct people to the facility there. We need as many people out and researching as we can manage, the knowledge of a cure for something like this is probably widespread.
