Exactly. Blood status is an archaic means of treating other people badly for no reason whatsoever - and there is a whole society based around it, as though people born from muggles are somehow weaker or lesser or - or stupider than they are. I can tell you right now that none of that is true; I wasn't called the brightest witch of my age for no reason and I showed them that blood is meaningless compared to brains and heart and bravery. I can't say much for their childhood, really, because not a lot of purebloods were particularly keen to be friendly with me, at least outside of my Hosue at school. I think... It's a little like being in the upper class of muggle society, really. It all depends on how your parents were raised -- which I suppose is the norm for any household.
