004 ☆ Video [Seelie Only]
[Clara looks like hell. Honestly, why she used the video function is beyond her. There are dark circles under her eyes and her hair is tousled and messy. Before she speaks, she sighs and presses her palms into her eyes.]
Take a little nap, just for a quick visit home, wake up and there's a massive void threatening to destroy all the world. I used to wake up and think "oh that's Monday, time to make it all better" but now I've just got a headache. Maybe I'm getting old. Haven't got time for a world that's gone to hell.
[She pulls her hands down and licks her lips before continuing. Discretion is important here.]
I had a vision about it. The void. Or at least I think so. I was looking at the map and there was spilled ink. Black like the void. But it was in the north. It started bleeding, swallowing up everything in that strange half light. Then there was nothing but a single dot left.
[She leans back, tired eyes up to the ceiling as she recalls the memory.]
Vague but possibly useful. Would be nice if it was useful, anyway. Being useful is the idea. Haven't heard of anything happening to the north, just Leathann in the south. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Or heard of anything happening there? Don't suppose we could end up with voids times two. Just what we need. Then again, I'm new at this whole "have visions, interpret them, they're possibly a metaphor" sort of thing.
[Then her eyes are back on the locket, darker, and a little glassy. She's fighting off tears but she'll make no more of a show of it.]
Other than that, I've. I've got a request. Or more of a task, I suppose. I need something retrieved from Caer Scima.
My friend... The Doctor left. We haven't spoken for nearly a year and I suppose it'd be silly to count on him returning. Haven't seen much of that since I've been here. Besides, the world is ending. Who'd want to end up back here?
[She bites her lip before continuing, quickly. It's dangerous to speak of others in the opposite court. But she hopes she can make this work.]
He had boons that might be useful to our side. I'd like to have them retrieved. He often kept to himself and I can't imagine anyone hasIf anyone wants to volunteer, you'll be rewarded. Gold, metals, magic, services, I'm flexible. Or perhaps you're creative. Either way, rewards!
Otherwise, I'll take your advice on how to break into a massive enemy fortress instead. Much obliged.
[The last part is said bone dry. Giving the implication that it's half joke-half desperate idea that she might actually be considering.]

no subject
[She raises a thumb to her mouth to bite a nail but then seems to think better of it.]
I will. Just let me know what to do. The point of the visions is to help.
no subject
[ Hermione nods her head, set and determined. ]
I just need to draw it out of you using a little magic. I won't take it, just copy it.
no subject
[She tries to grin but her lips twitch.]
It's alright. I'm not too fussed about it.
no subject
[ That's a little more important than the memory right now. ]
no subject
[Clara grits her teeth.]
I tried looking for it when he didn't show at our meeting point but I... I have no idea where it is. It may even be in Caer Scima.
no subject
[ She breathes out, soft and sad. ]
I'm sorry, Clara.
no subject
[Her words are too quick to maintain any sort of plausible deniability of desperation.]
It could. It could be anywhere. He may have gone somewhere. That's why I just... need someone to look.
no subject
Of course - just be careful? You know how dangerous it is now. I don't want to see you hurt.
no subject
[She tries to offer a grin, but it's more like a grimace.]
But I just... can't let this go. Not like this. Not without an answer.
no subject
[ Hermione just breathes out, offering a small nod, the best agreement she can give. ]
I understand, really, I do. If there's anything I can do please, let me know.
no subject
I'm afraid I'm lacking in connections to the other castle now.
private.
I have a friend in Treun, named Galan. He might have some acquaintances that could help you get what you're after.
[ That is: an means to get "in" with the Unseelie, so to speak, to get his shard or some news. ]
private.
[The relief in her voice is palpable.]
Let me know how to find him.
private.
private.
And don't worry, if anything goes wrong, I won't mention your name at all.
