They're going to take our power, one by one, and the lives of everyone here. I don't consent to live like this. I don't know about worlds being eaten in our homes or being born again later, and I don't care. Our lives are being ended as they are now.

I don't like to kill needlessly, but it will keep happening—if you meet someone who wants to let that thing destroy everything, including you, then you should find your chance and stick a blade into their heart.

[ she hurls her locket at the wall, and the video hits its target and shuts down. ]

We don't have the luxury of thinking there's any other option, nor any time to wait.

[andallbite]

We don't. [ Again, they're in agreement here. There's not much to argue, but— ] However things are starting to look like, we can get back up. We can do something as long as we're all still here. If there's something more you can do to win, don't hesitate.

[survivra]

So let's do it. [ She agrees with him still and sounds earnest, beginning to pace back and forth in her rooms. ] Not this sitting around that most people have been doing.

[andallbite]

[ That's better, he thinks. Wanting to do something is good, but he doesn't like lacing it all with doubts of their survival. ]

I'm going to. [ A beat, then, ] I'll do it with you. We can make sure that this world won't get destroyed.

[survivra]

[ She's not in a good enough mood to smile, but at least she relaxes a little. ]

So who are you? And what would you suggest?

[andallbite]

[ No offense taken; he's one to rarely crack a grin, himself. But he sees her demeanor loosen up, and to him, that's something. ]

My name's Eren. [ Suggestions, on the other hand... ] There's been a lot going on, so I don't have anything right now. But this isn't something I can do on my own, either.

[survivra]

I wish more people didn't have to be involved with this.

[andallbite]

Nobody has a choice. They can't back out if they have any desire to keep living, too.

[survivra]

That's what's so infuriating.

Well. One of the many things, anyway.

[andallbite]

[ ... He pauses, briefly. Eventually ends up shaking his head. ]

People are always fighting for their sake no matter where you go. [ Or so he's gathered, between the dire state of his own homeworld, this one, and what he's heard of others. ] You can't get mad at something like that.

[survivra]

I mean that they don't have a choice of it. That all of this is necessary. Of course I'm mad about that.

[andallbite]

I know—and it's always going to be necessary. But something like that is worth doing.

[survivra]

You make it very difficult to worry about anything. You're determined to be hopeful, aren't you?

[ She's still not smiling, but she's teasing him in her own way. ]

[andallbite]

[ Eren's grown to be realistic about many things, but through it all, he'd be nothing if not idealistic. He's very hopeful, and full of many dreams; it just isn't every day someone acknowledges that, or even agrees. She may not be smiling, but a subtle grin tugs at the corners of his own mouth. ]

What other option do we have? [ Besides, y'know, dying. ] I'm not going to let anything hold me back from making it out of this, and neither should anybody else.

[survivra]

Now that's the point I was trying to make.

[ Another time Katsa might have laughed. She's still a little too afraid, a little too riled up to do so, but suddenly they're agreeing in full. ]

I'm not sure how. But everyone should be ready to fight.

[andallbite]

We're not the only two who are. Anyone else is going to need to realize that sooner or later, they'll have to step up, too.
