So, quick question!
[ heeey, guess who's back in Leathann? it's probably a little counter productive to start a video transmission when the world around you seems to be in some state of chaos, but Rachel doesn't have a choice. there's red smudged under her nose, but no sign of any kind of physical altercation beyond her frazzled look. nope! just a random nosebleed because why not? and if her expression looks more than a little dazed it's because she walked right into the aftermath of some kind of cloudy smokebomb which might've had more than just smoke in it. it's impossible to tell anymore. ]
I left the Spire to try and and talk to some of the rioters out here, which I know - not an amazingly brilliant move - but usually the people here are always so peaceful. It's just how they live. I've been living here for the better part of a year and I've never seen them acting this way.
Right now, people are either destroying whatever they can get their hands on, or they're just- giving up. [ but she can't think about the number of people she's seeing getting on those boats heading straight into the Void without feeling queasy, so. not going to talk about it. ] I guess I thought I could try and do something about it, but, um. No.
Long story short, I need somebody that's familiar with jinxes and counter-curses to help me out, if you could. I was hit with something and it's like every step I take is another opportunity for the worst to happen. I have no idea what it was exactly, there's a lot of magic flying around. Which again, totally not normal for the people here. The Void is really messing with the balance of things, and it's making-
[ she flinches as a bright flash goes off somewhere behind the camera, which doesn't help her vision much, but it's obviously just more gratuitous displays of magic because there's no explosion or anything too alarming. she blinks hard a few times, tries to refocus her eyes, but her pupils are blown wide]
I've tried using the sleep spell I learned to get people to chill out, but it's more dangerous than helpful with how crazy everyone's acting. I don't want people to get trampled over. But mostly I just need to reverse this jinx, whatever it is. Blackjack is off somewhere safe for now, but I'm not riding him back to the mainland until I know it's safe for both of us to make the trip. Is there a general reversal spell I can try, or would I need to know what I got hit with in order to reverse it?
[ she pauses, maybe hoping for a fast reply, but then she jolts forward when someone knocks into her from behind. it's a weird sort of struggle - the person who crashed into her is laughing, but then he's reaching for a handful of her hair, like he's trying to pull her back into the fray ( to join the riot or because she's a shardbearer is hard to tell )-
