[ It's safe to say that Ariadne has never been this upset about anything in her entire life. She tends to smile, with large, gentle eyes. She does not tend to look murderous.

She does today.

Her trust has been broken, betrayed. Her people have been caught in the storm that Reynard started. Her mind has been violated, her companion dead.

When she speaks, her voice starts out calm. Cold. ]

So. When were we all going to start sharing what we know about the Cult of the Fox?

[ A breath and then she snarls. ]

Because it turns out they're wearing shard masks that let them look like anyone and they can get into your memories and mind control you to the point that you'll hang yourself.

[ It takes a tremendous amount of effort not to throw something. ]

That lying little fuck and those like him know how to use shards even when they're masks. If we don't stop sitting on our information then they're going to tear us apart from the inside. Do not trust anyone without- somehow verifying it's them, though I don't know how when they can do that much.

If you're staying at Diasbaile -- get to work or get out. I don't know how many people might still be under his spell but he's destroyed wards and rooms on the top two floors, read what was in my office if he didn't just steal it.

Everyone- be on your guard. And share your information, because otherwise we're all fighting this blind and then everyone is dead.

You need to get out of the Station. Just in case. Bucky's with me, he- we're not okay, he was with me when it happened, neither of us remember anything after a point. But we'll look after each other; he at least knows I'm me.

Gaff died in the Battle of Falling Fire. It was a cultist all along. Grell, can you watch Diasbaile? I can only assume that he'll know what I would do, but he didn't get in your head.

Ariadne, you should know that if you catch him, the Cult members have a very powerful magic cast on them. If you try to interrogate him and he thinks he's in danger, that magic will execute him to keep information safe.

[ It takes her a bit to reply. ]

Even if I catch him -- what else can I do?

I'm staying. For now.

[ To be useless, to worry, to pace and fret and rage. ]

I'm glad you are. Your people? They need you here, with them.

( there's some measure of relief in her voice, that Ariadne isn't going anywhere. )

We'll find him, okay? After things were are settled.

I can't do anything for them. Nothing that he wouldn't know I would do.

Yes, you can. You can be here with them; you can lead them and help them. They need their Baroness now more than ever.

Everything that I know, the Cult might know. Everything I might do, they might be able to anticipate. What good am I, then?

You're good by existing, Ariadne! By protecting them. Who cares if they know what you can do, if they can anticipate? You're here and you care about them.

Your people matter to you, the ones that live here, the members of the Cult that follow you. I know that we matter to you, just like you matter to all of us. We would protect you, even if we were compromised by something the Cult did. Will you do the same for us?

Her voice is quiet and thick when she manages to speak, almost a whisper. ]

[ Funny, how the tables turn. Months ago she was the one telling Clarke to keep pushing. And now... now, Clarke is the one supporting her. ]

( there's an edge of relief in her voice when she speaks; there had never been any doubts that Ariadne would look out for them, as they would for her, but having her say it solidifies that she isn't going to do anything reckless. at least- not right now. )
