The Void is close to the edge of Mount Verla. The Pyrii refuse to leave and they have a week, maybe two at best, before they're swallowed by the Void.

They don't want to abandon their home. So I want to move it.

I need help. If you're willing to help, no matter where you are in the world, I can make sure you get here within a few hours. Respond privately and I'll tell you what needs to happen.

The only natives that will be there are the Pyrii and a friend of mine. None of them care. The rest will be shardbearers and I'm pretty sure that most of them don't have the ability to tell one shard from another. The biggest problem is being able to tell a face from the crowd. So wear a mask. One that covers your face without restricting your breathing.

[Wan was answering the reply almost by rote after having several conversations of the same vein and almost missed the name that was displayed as who it was from.

Are you Bolin's friend?

[ it's true shardbearers can't tell who's who just from looking, not like the natives can, but korra's a little more than "kind of infamous" in unseelie territory given how aggressively she fought against them in the past. with the bounty still on her shard, she shouldn't take any chances — she'll bring something in addition to the mask, if she can find it. ]

That's easy, anyone who's been here for Samhain should have a good one.

[ but the question comes as a surprise, and she lifts her eyebrows as she glances at the compass. ]

He's my best friend. Him and his brother, Mako. [ she doesn't want to ask this, but she has to know — ] Have you talked to him recenty?

He was the first person I called for some help. And he came to help. But then he left.

Did he leave a shard?

[ korra still carries the depowered shard from hans, and she's hoping that this is all it is. depowered means bolin went home, and home is where he belongs. ]

[Wan cringed to himself. He'd been hoping she wouldn't jump to that conclusion from his words. But considering how well she knew him - being best friends and all - she probably realized he wouldn't have left if he'd had a choice in the matter. He'd wanted to break it to her and Mako in person, once he found them.]

[ it's an easy enough conclusion to jump to, since korra hadn't heard from bolin in several long weeks, and she's been here for over two years now. a lot of people she knew had left — some friends, some enemies. but in this case, at least, she won't be quite so upset about it. ]

That's good. He has things to do back home, and this wasn't the place for him. He never had the heart to fight like the Monarchs wanted him to.

[ korra never bothered to ask solais what happened to people who "left", and now she doesn't have the opportunity, having sworn off the seelie court as it stands. ]

[He was pretty sure the lockets saved what they had seen before. He should be able to bring up the Audience and show her Morla speaking to Lumina about it.]

[ on instinct, korra nods. she trusts the network hermione set up, but she'll believe wan if he says it's something better left off devices of any kind.

after a minute, korra realizes her mistake and makes to reply in a way wan will actually see. ]

I'll have a white mask. If it's bad news, make sure Mako doesn't find out. He's lost too much family already, I don't think he could handle hearing anything more than "Bolin's gone."

[Not quite an agreement, but it also wasn't an insistence to tell Mako. He felt the man should know, of course. But well, Korra could be right.]
