Communications are back online! At least for us. I'll bet the seelie have theirs online now, too. How are we supposed to banter back and forth though? It's not as fun if we're not glaring at each other and shouting death threats.

Oh well, we can still glare in spirit, right?

Have all the sleeping people woken up? You should know that while you were sleeping, we stripped you naked and made an Unseelie 2702 calendar. And if you weren't asleep, don't tell them that's a lie, you'll ruin the surprise.

Still, the war and all, a lot of times it doesn't make much sense to me. There's that dark thing out there now getting closer all the time. Shouldn't we be concerned with that instead?

The way they spell it out, fighting, killing Seelie ... which, by the way? Not all that heroic. [Jason's gotta defend his unheroic status. He can't help it.] Well, anyway, it's supposed to give our lovely monarchs the strength to help with that. And if they get strength, we get strength, and we all take care of it.

It's the circle of life. Just with more death and destruction and less lions on plateaus.

But the seelie have to be trying to accomplish the same thing, right? Stopping that darkness.

Can't there be another way to stop it other than killing each other?

Or are they fighting to stop it because they need to buy time to kill more of us?

I don't know, but if I had that in my backyard I'd want to do something about it.

Look, the thing is, I'm not a soldier. I try to avoid more battles than I enter. This whole thing is a little nuts sometimes.

I do ... different work back home. [Conceding that much is easy.] I fight, sure, but this world world ending thing has inspired me to apply it to a different picture. It's just how I function. [So far, he's the only one from his particular neck of the woods, too.]

But it isn't for everyone. Honestly, all I ask is that people like you don't impede us for trying to fight and help. And from what I've seen ... [which is a lot and nothing at all, but he still smirks. He is still an obnoxious twenty-year-old at heart.] ... that really just isn't your thing.
