[Waking up from being asleep for a year is much like coming out of a coma. It took Mary a few days to feel truly herself again, but now she's back and well and truly confused about what happened to her.

The last that she remembered, she had finally been able to smash the damn harp in her dreams and get some rest from the depression that constantly haunted her for weeks. One night she drifted off and the next thing she knew it was May... a year later. Obviously, much has happened and she wonders why she had to be the one to be put into a magical sleep and miss everything.

She experienced a dream, or what felt like a dream, during her sleep - that she was back at Downton and that she had interacted with her family members, even lived her life there for a year while her body was asleep here. The details of what happened are clear, though remembering it feels like watching everything happen through a veil over her face.

On the locket she appears rested, to say the least. She's bathed, washed her hair, and styled it so that she looks presentable. But there's confusion and a bit of fear in her eyes as she tries to get answers.]

Have I truly been asleep for a year? I fear this could be quite a long conversation, but what have I missed? And was I the only one afforded this privilege of missing out on a year of my life?

Lady Mary, then. I should have told you my name first, but I just thought...I wanted to be sure you were all right with sleeping so long.

It's quite alright. I appreciate your concern. [Especially considering they've never met before.] I don't know if anyone would truly be alright after sleeping for so long, but I'm well enough. I expect the world is much changed in the meantime?

[Well now Mary has spoken to her at all, Colette will pretty much consider her a friend. She's like that. Basically. Befriending nearly everyone she meets.]

Well, lets see....I guess last you would recall would be the harps? Around then? Because we've had that big festival - Samhain, and the Tournament where I went to cheer for Emil. Besides that there was the hunt for the White Hart. The lockets weren't working though so a lot of things were harder to figure. I guess the main thing is how things seem. Tense, now.

[How nice that must be to consider all people one has met friends. Mary is sure that she cannot claim that.]

You had many events. It sounds like a time of peace. I regret that I was sleeping during it.

I think that Samhain happens each year. So maybe you'll get to see this next one? It was a lot of fun! I even got to dance a little with Hiro and Muscovy!

[Which is possibly quite a feat even if she did try to warn them of her clumsiness beforehand. Still, only Colette would focus on that when there were much more intimate goings on happening right nearby in the tents that she was oblivious to.]

Hopefully so. Is that the All Hallows Eve celebration? [That's something she's heard of though not participated in.]

Where are you from, Miss Colette? And I suppose I should ask when you are from as well. [She seems like a sweet girl.]

I'm not sure? Maybe? I've never heard of All Hallows Eve before, so I can't say for sure.

[Which she does seem apologetic over, though hardly her fault when people come from various worlds and times, after all.]

But ah, I'm from Iselia, a small town in Sylvarant. As for when that's....more difficult to say. But we didn't have anything like the things Hiro's shown me in the Station and all. Our world was sort of similar to this though. Declining, people suffering, with magic and I guess similar sorts of creatures and technology.
