[ gwen is wearing her simply cottons, a dress in pale purple and a golden apron and she seems quite busy in her washing, hands dipped in water and soap. behind her, a pile of blankets and capes is forming. have a small smile which can easily be traced behind her messy curls and freckles. ]

To all those who hear this, I hope you are well and warm. These must be trying times for us all.

[ a deep breath ]

to all those who came here to the Cothromach, if you find yourself in need of anything, please call for me. My name is Guinevere and I shall be happy to provide you with whatever you may need. If you are cold, there are blankets and capes. I sew and while I was never trained by a seamstress, I trust these shall do.

[ she bites her lip a bit ]

I am not a sorceress or a fae, I am but a simple servant girl. But if I can send birds with blankets and capes to those in need, please tell me. I -

[ a little sigh. ]

Well.

[ she hasn't even tried, to be quite honest. she sighs a bit. ]

I suppose it's worth trying to get them to listen. They must be cold, too. if they won't, I can ride out myself.

Most of the birds seem safe from this. The King of Birds is protecting what it considers it's own while it rains winter upon the rest of us. That's what I've been told.

If you do ride out, be safe.

At the very least ht spares his own. I am glad they are safe, however. I imagine it must be so cold so high up in the sky and the poor creatures would have such hard time getting from one place to another.

[ perhaps it's the nature of gwen to worry for such things while all else is so dark and cold. ]

Oh, I will, my Lord, certainly. You are so good to think of me.

[There was a short space of silence before his voice came again, a little softer and with just a hint of embarrassment.]

It's Wan. And I'm not a lord. You don't have to call me one.

[graciousness]

It is a pleasure.

[ sweetly and kindly and easily. those three go hand in hand for gwen. it is always easier to be kind and sweet than to be anything else. ]

I am Guinevere; Gwen, if it pleases you.

It's not me that has to be pleased. What would you prefer?

[ she smiles at his words because they're true but also because, being a servant girl, so very few people ask her what she'd like to be named. ]

[ only arthur calls her guinevere, truly. it's special, in a way. ]

It's nice to meet you Gwen. You're somewhere in Glaschu, aren't you? Sorry if I'm wrong. I was dragged here last month and I don't know where a lot of places are yet. Anyway, the place you said you were, you're safe there, right? From the cold and the Ice?

[graciousness]

The Cothromach.

[ she smiles a bit. she remembers herself being new, she could barely tell north from south in this world. ]

I am at the service of Lady Sansa Stark, the Lady Keeper of this city. We are safe, yes. I want to help as much as I can't to those who are in frozen areas.

[raavashing]

I'll try to remember that. I probably won't get to meet you in person. Not easily. But I'm glad to know you all the same. So many people on all sides are reaching out to help... it gives me hope for peace.

We might yet. This world has a way of bringing people together!

[ there is a bright smile in her voice. it's good to have people with hope. it has been lost from so many in this world. ]

I hold the same hope myself, Wan. This world is filled with good and kind people. With all that kindness, I am certain we shall have peace.

[So many were trying to prevent it, though, if February had been any example. But it was not the time to dwell on it.]

Maybe. But I'm not particularly welcome in those lands and as much as I'd like to visit, unless I have a pressing reason to risk that much ire from the people, I'd rather not invite more trouble on myself. I get into enough as it is.

I have a friend at home who usually says that. Granted, he really does get himself into quite a bit of trouble.

[ poor merlin and the mess he usually makes. ]

I'm certain it will be alright. as long as we hold onto our hope.

[raavashing]

People who get into trouble enough can usually recognize it. I'm not sure what it might say about someone who can't...

[There was a soft laugh from Wan.]

You don't sound like you get in much trouble. It's probably a good thing for him that you're his friend.

[graciousness]

I try not to.

[ it doesn't work all the time but most of the time she manages quite fine. of course, then merlin gets into trouble and drags arthur with him and then of course, morgana can do the same and gwen rushes after them to make certain that they manage themselves fine during their adventures. ]

But, it's really my pleasure. I mean, he's a good friend.
