Hello, for those of you I haven't yet met, I'm Harry.

[The video footage is of a young man with messy black hair, one bottle-green eye, and half his face silvered over with old scarring. On the damaged side, he has a red amber prosthetic in place of an eye. In the background, there's a crow that periodically peers over his shoulder.]

The queen has tasked me to talk to every one of the Unseelie and ask for a memory of solidarity, overcoming great odds, or defeating a foe. With these, she can use it to create a better, stronger defence for a rebuilt Caer Scima.

It's going to take time to do this — at the very least, a few months — so there's no hurry to meet and I've the ability to get to pretty much anywhere in the Drabwurld quickly.

[He looks down at a bit of paper that's just out of sight; seems like someone made notes before talking.]

Sharing a memory is done through magic, it doesn't hurt, I won't look at anything you don't want me to see and I'll swear to that.

What's the process, exactly? Rituals, supplies you need for it... ( nevermind the fact that she literally uses him as a fourthwall breaker in her pilot episode pretends she has no idea really who he is doot doot... ) I know it'll take you some time to get through everyone, but I'm a Sorceress of Caer Scima and I might be able to help, depending on your methods.

If I were home, I'd use a pensieve to hold the memories, but for now, all I really need is my wand and a glass bottle or flask. They didn't really tell me which method to use, just to talk to everyone and gather shared memories.

Honestly, I think that for those that might be too uncomfortable for magic, just talking with them might do. If they give me a detailed enough version of what they remember.

What's a pensieve? ( these words are foreign to cassie, and the way her face screws up is enough to show it. ) How advanced are you at this?

It's a large stone bowl that you can use to hold memories. It's good if you've got too much in your head and you want a little perspective.

[ Or if you're a spy and need to pull a few traitorous thoughts out. ]

I've had a fair bit of training in how to stop other people from entering my memories and that included the reverse, but that can be a bit invasive. I spoke with Linn, my companion, and a great witch, and we can sort of mingle what I know from my world with how magic works here and do this safely.

Wait - if it clears space, and it holds the memories, how is it that we also get to keep them? Explain this process to me, because I think there's something I'm definitely missing.

( well luckily she's not a spy at all, so... that's good. right? )

I might be able to help, too. I'm betting that the magic in my world is probably different from yours. I mean, even if I can't help you that way, I'm willing to share a memory, but. I figured I might try to be at least a little useful.

Sorry, I'm not really all that good at explaining this. We've -- that is, Linnaea and I -- have been working on a way to adapt what works in my world, to what works here, and to make it less invasive.

The plan, which is still being worked on, is that with Linn's help, I can have a look at the specific memory you want to share and then when we both have it, you go your way and I go mine, and give over my copy to the Queen. It's a bit roundabout, but it let's you keep both your memory and your privacy.

If you need it, I'm happy to share one of mine first, so you can see what it's like.

Oh, I'm not that worried about it. I was just wondering about the technical aspects, you know? I'm a witch, too. So I thought it might be interesting to compare notes, and that I might be able to help with more than just memory sharing. ( cassie smiles. )

In that case, I'd love to have someone to talk it over with. Linn and I have have been tinkering and what we've got works, but there's always room for improvement. What sort of magic do you usually do?

Um -- just... Magic? I guess? I try to avoid my dark magic, if I can, but it's kind of in my blood. I've been working on control, and on being able to suss out what's instinctual dark magic and what the light magic really feels like. It's all pure energy, and in my world, it comes from inside a person. There are spells and potions and incantations - things like that, for more heavy duty stuff, but we don't use wands or anything. Like -- okay, I can light a candle just by telling it to light, or unlock a door just by telling it to unlock. Stuff like that.

I don't really know what our magic is made of. it just works, usually. We use wands for most things, but if you're good at it, and practice, there are certain spells you can learn to do wandless.

[ Harry looks down at something off-screen and after a moment nods as if he's decided something. ]

I'm starting to rough out a route of when and where I need to be to find all the shardbearers. If it's convenient for you, I'll be at the Station during the early part of March?

( she thinks it's almost funny, the idea of waving a wand around. no amount of necessity could get her to point a stic--except there was that one time eben controlled her body and she literally waved a branch around. so maybe some spells... but because of the properties of the tree, she thinks. not because of a need for direction. )

I'll head back that direction at some point, but I'm not sure when. Push comes to shove, we can work together at a distance and try to find some way for me to share with my own magic. But I can always hail a puca.
