I am sure that all of you have seen the offers from the Spires for safehaven. We are here to serve you, and protect you as much as possible. I have watched the fires from Caer Scima...we will rebuild. But until then, you all have a home with us. If you need refuge, I will not turn you away. You will be safe.

And we will avenge those of us who have fallen. They will not get away with this.

I know things are in chaos, at the moment. But we need to try and coordinate. Pooling our resources so we do not duplicate efforts. With the fall of Caer Scima, we are the main defenses and homes for our people, now.

['Our people'. How strange it feels on her lips. But it seems she has fallen into feeling that they are kin to her quickly. After an entire life of feeling singular and apart from the world, she has found a home here. A dangerous thing. But welcoming as well.]

I have a favor to do for Saber, soon. So I will not be at my Spire. But I will still be accessible via locket.

They want us all dead. It will all lead to more death.

Not...more death. Avoidance? Regrouping, first and foremost. Even if you wanted to lead a revenge attack, we're hardly in any position to lead any sort of attack, all things considered.

I am no warrior. I believe in using my mind, first. Strategy takes time. But I will not let what they did to us go unanswered.

No. (He considers for a moment.) But when does it become an attack of our own, rather than revenge? Is there a time limit on that?

Yes, but an angry beast that they hurt does not count. For the creature hurt our lands as well, in it's pain.

But if it looks like an attack, they'll come after us for revenge for that. It'll just make matters worse.

What do you want to do, then?

They can't come at us for revenge if they are all dead.

[Which isn't what she wants, of course. But it is a point to be made.]

You can't slaughter them all just because some of them were in the attack. What about all the civilians?

You do realize they killed civilians, do you know? They killed children.

That doesn't mean we should do the same. Take out those in charge, yeah, but don't do what they did. That won't make things better.

I am merely pointing out that they have shown us no mercy, and will continue to show none.

If it means decimating them, to protect the rest of us left, I will see it done.

We are brutal because we have been brutalized. I do not apologize for it.
