...apologies for all that, it was a bit difficult not to get caught up in the moment of watching victory go absolutely pear shaped. It was best to warn everyone Seelie, and at least a video will show you what we're dealing with.

Anyway, that's the absolute horror that was unleashed from the ruins of Caer Scima just a moment ago... I've got absolutely no idea what that hideous thing is, but it's certainly something. I wanted to try and hunt it down, but...

[He turns the locket down to his hand, where his usually nice looking coat and gloves are looking like they've been left out in the rain for about a decade.]

...well, I'm eternally grateful for the fact that I can heal, because my flesh suffered roughly the same effects when I started getting too close to it. I have absolutely no idea where it's going now, but our prospects aren't looking fantastic if it crosses our paths. I wouldn't advise fighting it if you don't have anything you can use at range --- or at all, really, until we find out what in God's name it is and how to kill it.

...anyway, those of us at Scima won't be here too much longer at all, I'd imagine. I'd be happy to discuss something with someone who might know what's going on with this... perhaps when we're back in Seelie territory.

I do not remember it terribly well, as you might imagine, due to the nature of the Berserker class. It was Lancer, of the Golden Cadre.

Perhaps you would enlighten me to the usage of healing magecraft someday, if it is not too presumptuous to ask.

Ah, I certainly understand. I'm more familiar with the Lancer class, particularly that one... but given what I've heard, I can only imagine.

Mad Enhancement does not do well for one's ability to think, nor to recall once it has passed. Lancer had mentioned his former Master was here, do you mean to say that is yourself?

Yes, I can imagine. Lancer was indeed my former Servant, though we're obviously not connected here. I presume there's just enough magic in this world to sustain Servants independently, which is convenient enough.

...I'm sure, of course, I could think on the subject a bit more if I had a more discreet way of going about things. I don't really know if these are the best way to handle it.

Yes, although use of a Noble Phantasm and the like was rather difficult without the aid of a Master. Particularly in sustaining any such efforts.

It seems many are in serious doubt of the lockets these days, and truly I cannot blame them at all. Their security was dubious at best to begin with, perhaps we should all start writing letters. I have felt it is a shame there is no post.

Ah, I see... well, that certainly makes sense, thinking about it. It seems like it'd be a bit of a nuisance that you have that particular downside of being a Servant, but I suppose it's better to have to deal with that than to worry about no longer existing after a certain point.

It could certainly be far worse. Lancer seems to be quite able even without, however, which is naturally impressive.

Someone would need to train them first, I wonder if anyone has the wherewithal? Although I suppose there's another use for magic, mundane as it is.

Indeed. His abilities aren't terribly flashy, per se, which I would imagine means they require less power too maintain.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they had something like that here to begin with, given the general setup of this place. Perhaps I'll ask for one as a boon of some sort.
