[Kerra, dressed in tight-fitting dark armor and possessed of a slender frame doesn't exactly cut the most impressive figure, but the way she's staring at the locket might draw some attention. She's studying it skeptically, like she might a particularly ugly bug. Her lips twitch in a cynical smile and when she speaks up there's a dry edge to her tone.] So, does this damn thing actually work? Or am I just talking to jewelry?

[She snorts and rolls her eyes, waving a hand dismissively.] Ah, well wouldn't be the first crazy thing I've done today. Guess you'll either respond or you won't.

Let's see. Where to start. My name's Kerra. I'm one of the new girls. I like lizards, flying, and long walks in the woods. I'm not really sure what the kriff I'm supposed to talk about, so that's my introduction.

[Shrugging half-heartedly, she breathes out slowly, seriousing herself up. Well, as serious as she can be.]

I figure the other court can see this broadcast, and you may not care, but I've got no problems with you. I just got done with one war at home, a personal one, and I'm not really interested in a fight if we happen to meet while I'm on one of those long walks in the woods. If you start it, it's on you, but I'd rather avoid it.

And yeah, I know I probably sound like so many other new people, but I'm not really sure about this war business. I won't ask why it's going on, I've been told the reasons, but it all sounds like bantha fodder. So tell me why you fight. You, personally. What's your investment? D'you believe all this? Or is it something else?

[ He'll nod to Kerra and take note of that Jedi Order thing. ] It's nice to meet you.

Which castle did you end up in kid? The drab one or the dreary one?

[ Okay, he has to laugh at that. ]

Is there any difference?

[erranthero]

Yeah. One's gloomy with a gold motif. The other is gloomy with...another color. Kriff if I know what the difference is though.

[semiurge]

Purple and silver. So, I guess that answers your question.

I mean, it's obvious the colors are the huge difference here. [ The sarcasm here cannot be missed. ]

[She snorts, but she's still smiling, at least.]

I guess that would make you and I enemies. [A dry drawl to emphasize just what she thinks of that.]

[ He'll shake his head. ]

Obviously. I mean, gold motif? How can I ever trust anyone who lives in a place with that color scheme?

There's green too, and that's more my color...but yeah, seriously.

[A laugh.]

I hear that the other side eats babies or something. What d'you hear about us?

[semiurge]

[ He'll raise an eyebrow at that last part. ] I remember a story from home about eating babies, but that was satire. Do people really believe that?

Believe it or not, I haven't heard much about your side.

[erranthero]

Hell if I know. You don't look like the cannibal sort, though.

[shaking her head she leans back, looking up at the sky.]

Pretty screwed up, yeah?

Only if they're well-seasoned.

[ Rolling his eyes so hard here. ]

It's easier to hate people when you don't know anything about them. Well, except for baby eating. Apparently.

Yeah, that's probably the idea. It's bad thinking, though. There's literally nothing worse than taking the face away from your enemies. It's wrong. Beyond wrong.

It's only bad thinking if this isn't what they wanted.

There's always choices, but they took one away when they brought us here.

I'm not even sure who to blame. Everyone seems trapped, in one way or another.

I'm gonna blame the kings and queens for now.

Till a better target for my annoyance comes up, anyway. But they seem the most likely culprits.

Same, apparently that's odd too.

I don't know how odd it is. The impression I got was that they aren't around a lot.

A couple of people here told me it was odd to not see them at our festival...party thing. But you could be right. I dunno.

Where you from, anyway?

Earth. I can probably be more specific, if you need me to?

It wouldn't do me any good. I've heard of Washington DC, from a guy named Sam Wilson. But beyond that? I don't even know what system it's in. Seems to be a lot of you Earthlings around, but I got no context.

Yeah, and hearing our names for it won't be a lot of help.

Where are you from? Not that I have a better chance of recognizing it.

I was born on Aquilaris. And grew up on Coruscant in the Jedi Temple. And from what I gather, there's probably a few billion years of space between your planet and the edge of my galaxy.

[That whole...long time ago in a galaxy far far away and all.]

[semiurge]

[ Coruscant and Jedi Temple ring some bells. Huge bells. Billy's going to try to play it cool, but the excitement might break through a little. ]

I've heard of Jedi before, but never met one.
