[ The message that comes across the network is abrupt, as though the sender thought about sending it and simply did with no further thought. ]

I wish to learn more of the magic of your worlds, of this world. Not only how it works but how to use it.

I can offer a trade, should you require it.

[ After a moment, there's an addendum: ]

If you do not wish to discuss such things over the lockets, dedicate a shrine to the Outsider. I will know. We will speak there.

I'm not a magic user. You'd have to ask them that create said curses. But probably they can't stop that little detail because good will always win.

It might seem so to you. But I'm just trying to explain how our magic, or what I know of it, how it works back home in comparison. I'm not even one that actually studied it properly the way others had. My stepmother, for one.

Somehow that isn't too surprising. And I haven't gone into being cursed to a land without magic for 28 years. It's all rather complicated, to say the least.

Something like that? Although the ability to traverse them isn't common. Portals between worlds are difficult, to say the least. The first I experienced such was through a curse that sent us to a land without magic and where we couldn't leave that town, lost our memories of who we were back home.

You lived there? It sounds more like a place in between realms perhaps. But of course I could be wrong on that. I know when I was under the Sleeping Curse I was kept in the netherworld. The realm between life and death.

There's a 'void' here too?

I guess that shouldn't be too surprising given the nature of this place. I've met fairies and mermaids and all sorts back home. And that's not going into ogres and giants we deal with too.

First I'm hearing of it. If it's sailors though, is that something to do with the ocean? Storms and such?

I guess I just didn't consider such places to be somewhere anyone would live. I'm....used to the not human thing at least.

I'm just not sure what it means. This whole war is enough to deal with, let alone considering something like that on top of this.

I can't imagine it would be but then, different worlds.

How so? I only more recently arrived myself, so I don't know nearly so much of this place or its history yet even if I've been given the basics and done a little research in the library a bit.

Maybe I will.

[Somehow such a reply almost reminds her of Grumpy and makes her laugh. Almost.]
