video ─ both courts.
[ The elf is found amongst the trees, so high as to be consumed by the foliage. He sits with a lap full of arrows to be fletched ( as well as one more important arrow set a part from the rest, feathers weather worn ) and scowl upon his lips. This is the first he as appeared in such a manner, and he does not do so with a smile and warm words. ]
Watching you all scurry around preparing for war is much watching ants; curious for a moment but boring swiftly after. [ Ants so easily crushed, decimated. Mindless drones in service of a queen, ha. ] Glosse, que bloed raenn aig a' cuislean dhe weddin. They will bleed you dry and the fault shall lay with you for letting them.
[ Single eye looks away from the locket, hands busying with his self appointed task. ]
I wonder, once the smoke has cleared which among the swine shall climb on top the pile of corpses and proclaim 'I win.'
[ Such a happy fellow, aint he? Ah, but before ending he picks up the separate arrow and holds it for the locket to record. ]
Your arrow, Elvenking. [ Inside joke, none of you will get it. ]

[ Then again, her friends may or may not be just as insane to stay put. ]

Are we really compared to elves? Then again, to be so old, I suppose that would be true.

You are. No matter the land humans have always turned to violence before anything else, war and murder are their trade, even when claiming otherwise.
no subject
I suppose that is what mortal life entails; it does not change with advancements in society, there will always be that primordial difference. Sadly, really.
[ Is this why he's scarred? She almost wants to ask, but stops herself so short. ]
The other elves that I know have no desire to be apart of the war, either.

What advancements they have made is coupled only with arrogance and further prejudice for everything that is not human.
[ He has noticed that also through his time with Thranduil and his son. They are calm than his people, less prone to responding with violence or contempt. The Aen Seidhe have been angry for so long they no longer remember what it is to be otherwise. ]
They are an older sort.

[ That is another thing entirely, of course, and what she says she draws from the so-called healers and doctors she's known over the years.
Needless to say, she agrees. And understands. ]
But very wise.

[ Such things are a reality to him, the suffering and persecution he has witnessed over the years. Elves and dwarves and other non-humans trod on as if they were nothing more than dirt. ]
Wiser than most here.

And if that is an aspect that you dislike in humans, I cannot fault you for that.
[ Hey, it's why Alice dislikes people. ]
Well, yes, you would gain a degree of wisdom from seeing so many things, including wars like this.

Dislike is a kind word for what I feel about your kind, it certainly does not fight. I hate dh'oine with my every breath. They lie, cheat, use whoever they wish and then toss them aside like garbage. I have felt the sting of their swords, the cut of their spears. I watched as they murdered my brethren at the behest of leaders we trusted.
[ No one will ever use them again, not while he still breathes. ]
I will kill every dh'oine I come across, given the chance.

She's too pessimistic for that. ]
I suppose it is a kind word then, yes, and that hatred is understandable. All the more reason to avoid the war.
no subject
It does, however, see Iorveth simmer. ]
Let them kill each other over their shards, they are ploughed either way.
no subject
It is nonsense, really, all the same. It will wield the same results. I won't be there.

[ Hey, he may be a human hating elf, but she can be respectful. ]
no subject
I am Iorveth. Keep your head far from the fighting, Alice, if you want to keep it.
[ That is the nicest he had ever been. ]

[ There are meaner out there. He's right up there with Celegorm on the angry elf scale, however. ]
