I wish to let everyone know that I have retired now to Caer Scima to begin the construction phase of the Hall of the Remembered, at Morla's behest. For those who have been kind enough to share with me their memories of the lost and fallen Unseelie, I thank you. For those who still wish to help, I welcome your aid. Please do not hesitate to contact or visit me.

I requested artistic immunity for any members of the Seelie court willing to assist me, but unfortunately, Morla has stated that she cannot guarantee your safety. Still, I will turn away no help offered, and will be glad to arrange things to the best of my ability. My son is willing to offer transportation services to those who need it.

Residents of Caer Scima, I issue my apologies in advance. Morla has requested that the art installation be placed in every room save one. This is sure to cause various inconveniences, though I give my word to make any interruption as brief as I possibly can. Again, your cooperation is invaluable, and you have my thanks.

[Nerdanel will be able to be found in and around Caer Scima working on her sculptures, anyone is welcome to visit and watch her if they want! Various members of the Unseelie court may find themselves chased out of any rooms where she might happen to be working, including their quarters. Sorry about that.]

Those are likely to come later, when it is simply to the point of adding the material. I'm starting the largest rooms first, since after the first thousand or so forms, it should start updating itself.

But, I give my word, I will give immediate notice when I begin the installations in the private quarters. You can also come see me anytime you wish to view my progress, Harry.

And when you say you're inviting Seelie, do you meet to meet with them, somewhere that passes for neutral or are you actually inviting them into Caer Scima itself?

You are welcome.

I will meet them wherever I must, be it here or elsewhere. If they wish to come to Caer Scima, I will not be one to stop them. But my Makalaurë has agreed to assist with transportation wherever it might be required. Truly, he would welcome the opportunity to remove me from my work every so often.

Why do you think they would want to come here? What kind of person would accept that offer?

I do not know. But I doubt recklessness is a quality exclusive to our court.

But you understand my project, Harry. Whatever help is offered to me, I will do what must be done to receive it.

Inviting Seelie into the heart of Unseelie territory seems exceedingly foolish.

I welcome their help, if they are willing. But there are alternate methods to meet and speak. I have been honest in saying Morla cannot guarantee their safety.

And you are putting people in danger, even inviting them.

No one is required to come in person. And my son will take me out of the city as needed. I am willing to accommodate those kind enough to offer me assistance. I had been at the Station for some time earlier, collecting input, but now that I am progressing from the conceptual to the concrete, my work will keep me here for the most part. Though I daresay my children would find it a relief to have me lay down my tools and leave my workspace at regular intervals.

If you do it other than here, that is your own business.

But there are people who might see you as working with the other side. Even if this is merely for the beautification of things, by Morla's orders.

I am sharing in memories of those lost. Those of the Seelie offer valuable perspective to my work. Morla is aware that I have received help from both courts. I ask only for their memories, nothing more, and give only my thanks in return.

The work will be nothing short of a masterpiece when complete, though it will take some time, as it shall cover nearly all of Caer Scima.

Well, hopefully Caer Scima won't fall in the war. Then all your hard work will be lost.

I don't think it matters.

Not all of it. The memories are still mine to keep, and the individual forms can be redone if they must.

It may. Everyone colors their memories differently. That is why I ask for as many perspectives as possible.

I meant more that me being here long or short did not matter. Not the amount of people lost.

Most of the memories will be coming from Morla herself. But I fear in many ways it will bias the piece. That is why I have requested assistance.

But the longer you are here, the more memories you will make of those around you. How they live. How they die. All valuable for capturing the truest likeness of the lost.

Not all of us deal with loss as you do. I have my own memories. I have no wish to paint them upon a wall for all to see.

I do not paint them, child. These are not scenes thrown against a backdrop. I sculpt. Working to capture every nuance I can so they may be remembered as they truly were, not lauded, not vilified, but as people, perfectly imperfect, and as close to life as they can be now. That way, they are never entirely lost. They are remembered.

I think you should watch who you call child.

At my age, anyone with fewer than one hundred years to their name seems a child. Though, admittedly, I was somewhat younger than that when I declared myself grown. 'Twas a far more innocent time then.

And there are parts of me that are much much older than that.

So perhaps you shouldn't judge by looks.

Perhaps. It would be a fascinating comparison. Even for my people, I am considered quite beyond the years of all but the very first of our people, and my husband, who preceded me in birth.

My situation is highly complicated.

But I would put the age at over four thousand.

[ Inviting the Seelie into their court seems like a very dangerous thing - between being unable to promise their safety, and being unable to guarantee that they've got the best intentions in a time of war - but Minho can... kind of understand why she's doing what she's doing. They had their wall of names for all of Gladers, dead and alive. They lost a lot of people, crossed out a lot of names. Minho'd remember all of them until the day he died, he's sure. ]

I didn't know them very well, but we lost a few soldiers midyear. Native to Drabwurld and loyal to Morla. They were good men who didn't deserve what happened to them, but they do deserve to be remembered.

[ He doesn't even know if they had family that mourned them, that would like to see this installment - maybe there's a means of finding out. ]
