[Richard Castle is coming to you live from the Seelie armory where he's been assisting in the process of organizing the weapons, shields and armor for the forthcoming battle. Since he honestly doesn't plan on riding out to fight with people he doesn't want to kill in a battle he doesn't want to participate in, he figures this is a way to still be helpful without actually risking life and limb. Castle, of course, has a different definition of "helpful" than most people do. In fact, the first thing one notices on the locket screen is Castle wearing an armored helmet. He lifts the face shield and smiles at his audience.]

Hey. So, I just wanted to draw your attention to the armory. If you haven't visited here lately, they have the latest medieval technology for all your fighting needs, including armor hand-shined by yours truly.

[He turns the locket around in order to show a panoramic view of rows of shiny breastplates and helmets, all stacked neatly and awaiting wearers, then turns the view back on himself.]

So come check it out. I might even fit you myself, if you're that lucky.

[With that, Castle flips down the front of his helmet and flashes a thumbs up to the locket. Then, as an afterthought, he quickly raises the hatch again.]

Oh, while I'm thinking about it... I've heard that it's possible to use guns here. If you have any knowledge about how to acquire one, even if it's, shall we say, an older model, I'd be very interested to hear what you know.

[She looks all the more pleased to see him, smiles and bright colors despite the weather and impending war.]

And do you have armor to suit a lady? [She can imagine Caterina Sforza in her glittering silver armor, ready to take on her father's army. It makes her grin all the more, though she is sure she would not look the same in it.]

Actually, yes. [He flips the locket around to show her some smaller armor in the corner which has been molded to better fit a woman's torso, then turns it back to facing him.] This place is surprisingly progressive in that respect.

I do not think I would look so fetching in it. [Her mouth drags down in a distasteful manner.] But then I am no soldier.

Neither am I. That's why I'm shining the armor. [He smiles.] But I do think you'd look fetching in it, my lady.

[She is pleased at the compliment.] I am only charged with trying to help supply our soldiers. But perhaps it would not be bad to don armor if I am to go to the citadel with them.

Honestly, if you're going to be potentially exposing yourself to line of fire, you probably should have some sort of protection.

[It's why Castle wears a bulletproof vest whenever he and Kate go to confront potentially dangerous suspects. You never know what can happen.]

If you think it wise. [She ponders.]

Where are you? The castle?

Yes, the armory at Glaem. Are you in Treun?

[He knows that she visits there often, which is why she was tasked with finding the missing man.]

I am still. I think of taken up residency. [For she has not been to the castle since she woke up from home some months before.]

You prefer it to Caer Glaem?

[His voice holds curiosity rather than judgement. Castle's very interested in the other places around this realm and could eventually see himself relocating once he's stable enough.]

[She smiles quaintly.]

It reminds me of Venice. Not quite my Roma, but I have always done better with these types of politics.

I've been to both Venice and Rome, though not your versions of them. I should pay Treun another visit if you think it reminds you of Venice. That's one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Mine are probably much outdated, but Treun is a trade city. If you've the time, I would show you around properly.

Your version was when? 1500s? That's when all the great artists were living there.

And sure. I might be in Treun soon, actually. [Aka when all these battles start.] I'll let you know.

Very close. It is 1494 for me, but you have an eye for fashion or you know your history. I have been told people from your time know the works of Don Da Vinci and Don Machiavelli. [If Castle has ever read The Prince it's written all about Lucrezia's brother.]

As I have heard. A man here was surprised I had known such influential men. It seems strange to me since Don Machiavelli was no powerful man. At least in my time. Or I should say he did not seek out power.
