Allison?

( Lydia seems... panicked. Bothered. When she fell asleep, she dreamed a lot of things. Remembered a lot of things. Things that, pieced together with how everyone acted around her when she told them what she knew of home, pieced together with how Allison acted around her and how Derek seemed surprised that she wasn't surprised to see Allison, make too much sense to have just been a dream. The time seems to actually have passed for her, at home, living out her life. Losing her best friend. Losing the boy she was sort-of dating. Opening herself up more, learning more about her abilities... She feels the changes here, too. Pieces together with how nobody would tell her what really happened. And now she understands why. She knows. She knows everything. And while she'd started to try to move on and swallow her grief down in Beacon Hills, Allison is here. Alive. And every single wound is reopened. She feels vulnerable, and hurt, and angry, all at the same time. )

I - remember everything. All of it. I fell asleep... I woke up, god knows how much later - seriously, how long was I out? But I woke up, and my memories were different... It was like I lived it all. Every last second. ( She goes quiet for a moment, because she's swallowing down her emotions. It's fresh here. Really, really, very suddenly fresh. )

How did that even happen? What kind of magic are they working with, that they can just send someone to sleep and alter their memories? Because that's seriously powerful, in a way that makes me wonder how much they actually need our help. ( She's going to channel all of her sudden emotional torrent into researching all of this. Because she's not so sure she can handle this ever being a regular thing, and there's no way of knowing whether or not it will be. )

[He's inclined to take her words at face value, even though he's not fully convinced. With some hesitance, he goes on.]

You said you fell asleep and when you awoke, you could remember new things. Are you certain you did not dream those things?

No, I'm sure... I'm sure I didn't. My friends, the ones here... They remember the same things happening to them before they came here. They told me.

[Huh.]

... Is it possible you suffered a head injury and are only just now regaining lost memories?

[He's trying hard to find a rational explanation for this. Anything to avoid having to consider the possibility that their captors are really that powerful. Their ability to kidnap people from all different lands and times is bad enough.]

No. ( She seems incredulous, and a little offended. It could always be blamed on one of her fugue states, but.. No. This was too real. ) No, it's not possible.

[He's vaguely aware that was rude of him, but he's not of a mind to apologize at the moment. Too busy trying to piece together other feasible answers as to why someone might think their memories had been altered.

Much to his dismay, no other ideas come to him.]

The power to change memories... to change all a man knows to be true. But why? Why would they do that to you? What reason could they possibly have to do that to anyone?

( Lydia just... Is silent for a moment. Yes, it's a terrifying amount of power. Yes, it's a lot to take in and think about. No... She's not going to stop living her life here, to the best of her ability, until she's able to get home. )

I don't know that it was them at all, or that they did it on purpose. It's not the first time I've had incredibly realistic, if morbid, dreams. Things that turned out to be true.

[He thought she'd said she was sure it wasn't a dream, but then perhaps she considers what she describes now to be something a little different.]

You have had visions before?

( No, she still knows it wasn't a dream. Neither were the other dreams she had. Turned out they all happened in reality. )

Yes. None of them ended well. These, these were different. They're my own memories. Not just... Someone else dying. And I've asked other friends from home. They confirm all of it. They remember all of it, too. But, I just... I don't think they're manipulating me. I just think they were showing me.
