[Pod starts the video, and is obviously in a library, with her white hair piled carelessly into a sloppily braided-bun to keep out of her eyes, and a book with a howling wolf's head etched into the cover in her arms. It's a big tome, and she looks awkward holding it.
Her wolverine is present, though only by the sound of his snores as he naps in a chair nearby.]
Well met, all. I am still getting used to these, so I'm not sure how best to start...
An introduction will do! I'm Pod of Gray Holt, recently come to this world and court by way of one of the Healwort Guild's chapter-houses in Kelneth. I don't suppose to be fortunate enough to reach the ears of anyone who's heard of any of those, and that is beside the point of this.
[She straightens, losing some of the awkwardness.]
I need to learn more about werewolves. I know there are some, native to this place, and others come here from other... worlds. That still is so strange to say. Anyway, I've found some things written in the books, but I've never heard of werewolves before coming here, so don't know how to tell fact from over-embellished tales.
I was hoping someone, or someones!, here could guide me in the right direction. I especially need to know the proper conduct when trying to talk to a leader about important matters. I don't believe I've the exact right wording of it, though.
((ooc: This is relating to Pod's quest, the log for which should be going up no later than the seventh, and will be linked here when it is. Just wanted to get this part done up so I wasn't juggling a log and an open locket post all in one night. If there are any characters who would like to ICly accompany and/or assist/interfere with Pod's little diplomatic mission and want to be personally notified about the log I can do that!))

[She snaps that back, and then goes a little contrite, but only a tiny bit.]
I'm looking more for information on how to talk with them. As if, well, imagine it as an emissary from one Kingdom going to visit the court of another. What manners are expected there? What traditions and such like. That is what I need to know, but about werewolves.
video;
Uh — I've only really seen movies where they eat people. Are you sure it's a good idea to go meet some?
video;
Just like the tales of dragons ravaging farmers' flocks, I wager. That is why I was asking for facts.
[She tips her head to the side.]
What exactly is a "movie"?
video;
And I guess — well the dragons gotta suck wherever you're from if people think they do that.
video;
So... like a Bard's tale, but over the lockets? That would be very interesting.
[Then she laughs.]
That's just the thing. They aren't! The Truedragons hardly leave their mountains, and don't often consort with Truehumans, and I've never heard any true tale of a Dragonlord taking from a flock. Why it'd be easier to land and ask politely! But there are always folk that persist in the fear of such things, even when they should know better.
So, that exactly is why I'm asking. Tales can be so different from the truth of things, and I wouldn't want to give insult by mistake.

[Video] We can call their introduction in the TDM as canon if you'd like! :)
[Zhaneel's eartufts flick forward in open curiosity.]
What is a werewolf? [The gryphon has met a good many creatures here in the Drabwurld, but that's a new one to her.]
[Video] works for me!
[Not that long, really, but Pod remembers well the conversation outside the stables. She still hasn't found a suitable mount, but other business is much more pressing.]
And I hope any werewolf listening forgives me if I am wrong, but I am given to understand that they are both wolf and human, and can transform between the two. And... I don't know much else, not for certain. I could tell you what the books say, but how much is merely tall tales?
:Db
[Zhaneel fluffs her feathers up, beak gaping in pleasure.]
Well enough, Pod, thank you! And what of you and Kiga? You have been well, I trust? [Her ears flick forward and she tilts her head slightly in question.
Ah, horses. Well, Pod, Zhaneel was acting the part of a Seelie taxi so if you need a ride, just ask! ;) ]
Truly? I knew of a raven named Diaval... he could change into a man, but I do not think it was the same. His magic came from Maleficent... at least originally. I did not know there were many others here that could do such a thing.
[She envied they that could explore the human world as a human, but it was not something she mused about aloud. Then she nods her beak.]
Takes many, yes, but there is also truth among the tales... best, perhaps, to do as you have done and ask.

[Pod's expression lights up at the mention of Maleficent.] Oh! I've met Lady Maleficent. She made me markers so I could find my way to Cothromach, though that will have to wait now. I promised the wolves that I would help them. But truly, I didn't know her magic could be used to change creatures! Ravens are fine ones, though. I knew a couple at home, and they have sharp senses of humor.
[She nods at the last, smile playful and bright.] Aye, and now the hard part! Waiting for someone to respond with answers to my question.

[Gendry Waters is friends with Stiles, but still doesn't know what werewolves are. Go figure.]

[Pod smiles, a little mischief in her eyes.]
And why should it not be right to change between if one is both?

[Because the Starks are weirdly close with their wolves, but they aren't taking orders from them.]

Silver has no effect on us.
Pod's end will stay video
So you are...?
[She claps her hands.] Thank you then, for your kind answer. But, that is not quite the question I've need of an answer to. I would know more about, um, etiquette, I suppose is the simplest way to put it.
permavoice on this end!

[She gives a little bow to the locket, looking slightly awkward.]
Courtesy over the lockets still feels a little strange. I'm used to a person in front of me! But, what I worry over about that is what is polite for a werewolf? What I might consider perfectly polite, they might consider grievous insult, and I wouldn't want to give insult, even by accident.

[ A pause, because sorry she's going to say partially the same thing as Junpei. ] I carried around a silver weapon just in case.

That could very well be true, but I don't know which world the one I've to go speak with comes from, so I suppose I shall just have learn as much as I can and keep it well in mind.
I shall have to pray that friendliness can be different on circumstances, as I'm no fighter. Do you know anything else about them?
video.
[ Not that she needs the warning, but hey, werewolves, you can never be too careful. ] They're normally called lycanthropes in my experience and typically run in a pack like normal wolves. You can get turned into one like most legends say I think. I haven't experienced it for myself. Normal wolves and Lupa don't exactly like them either.
video.
Mm, the wolves here are certainly made nervous and frightened by the one I must speak with. And you can be made one? How?
video.
Biting. [ She nearly stops there before: ] If one bites you, there's the chance that you'll turn into one yourself. The original one in my world didn't have that happen to him but— that's because he was the original one with the curse.
