These actions paint the tale of being intentional, whether or not she fully comprehends her doing so is another story entirely. ]

What is this world's highest power? [ Not who, but what. She seeks out power beyond the mortal realm and feels as if this doesn't need clarification despite asking the captive populace. ]

Those who the sovereign answer to. [ Arcueid does clarify on that point as she sucks in her lower lip in thought, baring one of her fangs. ] Mystical creatures of power, magic... perhaps a god.

Yes, a god is exactly what I seek.

But Etro was kind of killed by accident. It's a long story, there was a heart and a prophecy and a timeless guardian. [She rolls her eyes.] It was a complete mess.

Grumpy, Caius, was a timeless guardian of the seeress, traveling through eternity with the heart of a goddess in his chest. Noel and Serah were time traveling dorks stumbling through saving the world.

To determine the celestial being that governs this planet so that I can reforge the bond that is missing. A guardian can't function without something to guard. An executioner can't kill without orders issued.

The general concept is that I'm a guardian spirit created from the moon that watches over a specific planet, appearing only when an event must be prevented in order to protect humanity.

[ Probably, but she has no idea what that means in context to the other woman so she just waits silently for confirmation. ]

Do I appear to be? [ She can be anything she wants provided she thinks about it. ]

Experiencing emotions can only complicate matters, but they're kind of fun to see in action.

That's really not the right way to think about it. Not having emotions leaves a big hole in your heart! [Finally, something she's familiar with.] And at the end of the day the people who aren't crippled like that will alllllways win.

I've never lost to someone like that before. [ Then again, it could be said that vampires have a huge hole in their heart regardless of how human they were before. ]

What is the... power behind emotions?

[ It feels so broken to inquire about that, but she can't help it. She's been ripped apart and is only starting to recover. ]

Then you're lucky! Lightning didn't either, not until it mattered.

[Lumina seems thoughtful for a moment, swaying from side to side as she thinks it over, before she points a finger at the locket.]

Emotions make things important! You're not fighting because you're supposed to, or because you have to. You're fighting because you need to. Because losing then means losing everything.

[Her smile might turn a little sad there.]

Fear and love make people fight like behemoths with their backs against the wall.

[ Thinking back on it, she wonders if any of the vampires she's eliminated had emotions. The desire to win or desire in general--is that what drives Roa to "victory" each time? No, it can't be something as simple as that. ]

I think certain things override the power of emotions. For example, when the world needs something eliminated, the Executioner can remove it with ease.
