What is this world's highest power? [ Not who, but what. She seeks out power beyond the mortal realm and feels as if this doesn't need clarification despite asking the captive populace. ]

Those who the sovereign answer to. [ Arcueid does clarify on that point as she sucks in her lower lip in thought, baring one of her fangs. ] Mystical creatures of power, magic... perhaps a god.

They fail to hold the greatest power of this world therefore they're of little interest to me. [ So forward. ]

Us being brought here is because of the shard that's within our bodies. That gives us a bond to this realm, to this planet, and it is that bond I seek to deepen.

If everyone needs the shardholders so much, then maybe one of us is the strongest person.

No, though I never met Ratatosk in the first place. But I still have the powers I gained through the pact. Just... not the person or things I was supposed to protect with them.

So what is it you do now that you are without those things?

Well... I'm trying to get home to fulfill them. So I'm working hard here but it's really only so I can go home. [He rubs the back of his head.] Maybe that sounds a little heartless but... I have to go home where I'm needed. If that means winning a war, I have a lot of work to do but I'll do it.

I've thought about it. If they're lying about anything, about us being able to go home in any way, then I'll never see Marta again.
