[ the locket manages to only catch sky and what looks like white wings when it's first on. reyna hadn't meant it that way but reyna isn't quite used to riding guido and can't be faulted for thinking she'd have landed already. when her face is finally revealed, anyone looking is likely to see a girl with her hair in windswept braid standing next to a horse with those white wings that had been seen before. ]

I apologize for that rude introduction of wings and sky. [ there's an undercurrent of amusement in her tone. whether that's there because she had meant to do it or because she's just running off a high of being in the air with the pegasus is up for debate. ] I found this pegasus in the stables and he happens to be from home. It's not the specific one I asked for but— I still enjoy seeing him. [ she pauses, making sure to pet his mane for a moment outside of the locket's view before continuing. ]

I have a few questions for all of the shardbearers if you can spare a moment to listen. [ the slightly unimpressed frown she gives the locket might imply that she'd prefer they'd listen but people can be people. ] Have any of you found yourself receiving pets from home or pets in general as a gift? And if you have, do you know why? Or if there was some thing you did to earn them?

[ she smiles just slightly before continuing. ] Any answers would be appreciated. And I'll try to stay on the ground while we to avoid any wing incidents again.

[Merida's interest is immediately perked. That's a horse with wings. She remembers the girl from her Hunt broadcast, so when she speaks it's with a slightly relaxed familiarity even if she doesn't know her name. She's riding herself at the moment, and there's a ruffle of feathers behind her.]

I received Angus as a boon a couple of months ago, though I take it th'...pegasus, you said?...is familiar tae ye.

[She purses her lips together, jostling something in her arms.]

I wouldn't say there's something I did tae earn him though. I simply asked.

[ Reyna doesn't manage quite the same level of relaxed familiarity, but she does manage a smile at both the wings behind Merida and Merida herself. ]

Pegasus is exactly what I said. It's the name for creatures like him where I come from. His name's actually Guido, but that only matters if you've ever met him before. And since most here haven't— [ Well, you get the picture.

Her eyes dart to Merida's arms, trying to catch what she's jostling before she frowns. ]

Just like I did with Guido. [ Well, she had asked for another one but— it counts enough. ] It just seems strange to me, giving us animals like this from home. They don't break the rules they gave us when we asked but they're not exactly— small.

Whoa, Reyna? [ Percy, whatever happened to being better with your whole tunnel vision thing? it's like Annabeth came, and he's not taken time to notice anything else. some leader you are, Percy Jackson. ]

I mean, y'know, you're Reyna, right? [ because he's seen the double-face-thing and it's weird, so maybe it's... not Reyna...? the Drabwurld sure is a tricky one. ]

[ There's this moment when Reyna has a retort just on the tip of her tongue and opens her mouth to say it before she stops herself. Instead she purses her lips and just gives Percy a look. This is why she says things like you can't get yourself out of a paper bag without Annabeth's help. ]

Just how many girls who look like me do you know? And how many of them would say what I did about a pegagus? [ She manages to say about the driest tone she can before she shakes her head. ] Yes, Percy, it's me. Not someone who just has my face. I don't think I need to ask you the same question.
