[Nico's hair looks a heck of a lot more messy than normal. Possibly because he just woke up from a week-long coma, but he's ignoring that fact in favor of sharing something he thinks is important.

Still, there's other, small things that show he's changed a bit since the last time others have seen him. A tension that's always been in him since arriving in the Drabwurld has eased somewhat. Nico seems a little more relaxed, despite how serious he looks. Maybe a shade less melancholic.]

First, to those I worried this past...week or something, I'm fine.

[Okay, maybe not exactly fine, but he'll talk to them later about it.]

Before I woke up, I had a vision. Events of the past flashed by me, and the stars...it was like watching them fall back into the sky. When I looked up, they definitely spoke to me.

[Does he care how insane that sounds? Nope. He does frown, though, like it bothers him.]

Their voices were very soft, but I still remember what they said. They said, "It will rise. It will rise and the world shall run red. It will rise and devour all."

[Nico's dark eyes regard the locket for a moment.]

Has anybody else had a similar vision? Or one that might have given them a sense of when this would happen? Because I certainly didn't get a sense of when, but it definitely sounded like soon.

[ Her face sets a little, lips pursed. ]

- Are you safe?

[He's definitely missed seeing Hermione's face, so he can't help smiling a little.]

I'm safe. I'm at Caer Glaem right now. And...home just got a lot safer.

[The biggest relief he's gotten in a long time. It'll just be better if certain other people from his world arrive. For now, he's content.]

What about you? Has anything else been going on since the Feast?

Good. I'd have come to track you down if I had to.

[ She breathes out, her eyes flickering over him before she smiles. ]

Nothing really. Just - the usual. Making sure everyone is safe.

Oh, you gotta be fucking kidding me...

[ MORE JABBERWOCK SOUNDING THINGS??? oh my god... he's getting a headache. ]

I have a friend who dreamed something like that too — she put it on the network a few days back. And based on what she said, and things I've heard... it's not gonna be good.

[Yeah, Nico totally doesn't blame Mako for the headache. He feels like he went from the frying pan straight into the oven.]

Definitely not. I'll check out her network post in a bit. What else have you heard so far?

You remember that sword we had to steal back at the beginning of the summer?

What a cheerful vision. Do you suppose that death will come with the devouring?

[ she's not particularly bothered by the notion...although a peaceful death is surely preferable to a non-peaceful one. and being devoured doesn't sound peaceful.

Most likely. From the sounds of it, I doubt whatever it is will discriminate on what it wants to devour.

[...This might be the most casual conversation about death and destruction he's ever had. There might just be something wrong in Nico's life.]

I suppose whatever gave you the vision expects you to do something about it, too.

but she somehow doubts this would kill her (because she's given up hope, mostly) and it would be irritating to lose everyone she's observing in one go. an empty world is a dull one. ]

Could you say how soon? I don't know if it was related to your vision, but I've heard... similar, also ominous things.

[At least it's not "hi nerd."]

Sadly, no. I had no sense of time, just urgency. [He frowns.] I know at one point, the Unseelie forces stole a Jabberwock's tooth. Whether that's related to the vision or not, I don't know. It's possible, but at the same time, I don't want to discount the idea of something else being the cause.

[It still could be.]

I don't know anything about the Jabberwock, unfortunately. But the Unseelie High Queen had a warning when I last spoke to her -- that winter's end would be red, not white.

[Spooky.]

[Flora frowns in clear concern, but won't push for the time being.]

The stars spoke again, huh. This doesn't good at all. Do you remember other cues or hints? Maybe colours or textures...something that might point out what "It" is?

No, just...I was walking backward and viewing events of the past. Then the stars spoke.

[He runs a hand through his hair, frowning.]

Other than that, just a sense of urgency. It might be related to the theft from the summer, but I don't know. It's more than a little frustrating.

[Flora touches his thumb and forefinger to her chin, thoughtfully. It seems like so many things went missing this summer, but it can't be the moon again, can it? Hmm.

Wait.]

...do you mean with the Dara and the Jabberwock tooth?

When I fell into a week-long sleep, I had a... vision as well. But it was not that. [He hesitates, frowning.] There was some beast, maybe a dragon, but its face was flat. It was huge, and bleeding - and dying like as not.

[And that was it. Not very enlightening, if you ask Jon.]

[A face like a dragon. Well. That's not good.]

So...whatever it is, it might be injured already? Have you been able to see if there's something in the library about it?

[Jon has not even set foot in the library since then do you take him for some kind of ~~responsible person~~ nerd, Nico??]

I have not. I... would not know where to start looking, in truth.

Whether it has come to pass already or not, I couldn't say: the moon was turned red just before the dream was ended though, so either it hasn't, or it was long ago.

You're awake.

[ Nico, you remember that really relieved look Reyna had on when she found you back at the Seelie feast? Imagine it again only this time it's in the locket. She may not be in or technically right near Caer Glaem, but she was a little worried nonetheless. Of course, the relief is replaced with a bit of apprehension. She knows it can't be Gaea because that's not how this world works but— when she hears it will rise and devour all, she honestly can't help but think of just that. ]

I haven't had a vision like that— but I wasn't asleep like you were. [ So, to be honest, she might just be lagging a little. She pauses before— ] Are you fine?

[ Or was that telling everyone a lie. ]

[Holy Hera, seeing Reyna again reminds him of his less-than-stellar welcome to her at the Feast. Now, at least, he understands her familiarity with him since he's experienced it all for himself. Nico is...also glad he hasn't seen Will yet. Meeting him before this probably would've been even more awkward, so he's glad to dodge the bullet on that one.]

I definitely don't recommend it. I think the only reason I got that vision anyway was because I kind of literally have a star that bonded spiritually to me.

[It's really weird, like having a pet star instead of a pet rock. Nico considers the question.]

...Somewhat. Physically, I've never felt better. Probably because I've been taking better care of myself here than back home. But...I think I'll be fine, especially now that I've gotten the full experience of Gaea's defeat. Less of a weight on my shoulders knowing she's gone.

[ She has given and seen worse, don't you worry about it, Nico. There's a tension in Reyna's shoulders that she hadn't quite realized that was there just evaporates when she hears that Nico knows that Gaea's defeated. ]

A star. [ It's not funny and yet she can't help but laugh a little. ] I'm not letting you get out of telling me the story behind that.

[ Just so you know. ] I don't think it would have been possible for you too not take better care of yourself. [ No offense, Nico, but you know how you were back at home. ] I know the feeling. I don't prefer being here but it's— better when you know that. You've been missing out on a hunt while you've been sleeping.
