[Pissed would be an understatement for what it is that Leia Organa currently feels. But, a lifetime of training and lack of visible irritants leaves her at least looking calm. She's been here long enough to have watched the goings-on through the strange little lockets and her quiet observations to get a feel for the place, mostly. And she feels confident enough to address the other residents of the strange world.]

I would like to thank our hosts for the lovely accommodations and food. Also, the change of clothes left in the closet of my new room fit perfectly.

[If sarcasm was an Olympic sport, Leia would win gold every time.]

However, the minor detail of being taken against my will to fight in a war I understand nothing about against others in a similar situation as myself hardly sits well with me. And from what I can tell from my observations, many others feel the same way. Sitting here and berating the rulers of both courts seems like a true waste of time, and so does demanding that I be returned to my own world, despite what important things I am needed for.

If you think that I will just lay down and accept this as a permanent situation, you are sadly mistaken. I won't fight for your cause because you think I must. I will fight against this form of...slavery with every drop of blood in my body.

To those like-minded, know that I will ally with you, no matter what "court" you happen to be a member of at present.

True change doesn't happen overnight. It takes many years of hard work to make any sort of difference.

[She sighs heavily, tired of having to fight for now.]

I have no idea as to that yet. Perhaps I will explore as much of this world as I can.

Couldn't if I wanted to, soooo...nope! [Lumina shrugs as if this isn't weird.]

Exploring isn't bad! This place has some amazing things to see.

[Now, that is strange, but not entirely unexpected. It doesn't seem surprising that some would be stuck here. It doesn't please her, but she's not sure what it is she can do while she herself is a captive of this world.]

I would imagine so, considering I've never seen anything here until I was brought here.

I have seen a ton of it now, it's worth the trip.

Although wandering around doesn't really solve your problem, does it? It's more like you're just...procrastinating about it.

No, gathering intelligence will help me figure out the best way to proceed. It is bad enough that I am operating blind as of now without any information about who it is that I've been asked to help that doesn't reek of slanted propaganda.

Some of us don't think of this as a vacation, young lady. It would be wise to keep that in mind.

Why not? You're not obligated to help out, but because you're a shardbearer you'll get pretty much anything you want.

Honestly, I don't enjoy having things given to me just because someone else has decided I am important. There are always strings attached that are not what I want to deal with.

You make it sound like you're obligated to be miserable. In which case, you are so gonna be.

I am far from obligated to being miserable. However, my time has many demands that are of no small matter on my own world.

I suppose I will have to find something to occupy myself that isn't just...waiting.

You could go exploring and call it something boring like reconnoitering if it makes you feel better?

I mean, you'd be lying to yourself, but lots of people are good at that!

Reconnoitering is important for everyone, especially if one wishes to have a first-hand experience of what is actually going on around them. But tell me, do you have no curiosity to see if the courts are lying to you at all?

And from what I know, people have always been good at lying to themselves.

[It's something that Leia tries to avoid and she does a good job of it, except in certain matters. ~~Han.~~]

Of course the courts are lying. [Duh.] Why wouldn't they lie? I'd lie if I were them. The best story gets the best people to listen.
