Thought I might as well let the world at large know that if you are at all interesting in helping to rebuild the gates of the Cothromach, I'm the Dwarf you should speak to. I'm fairly certain anyone interested is already here, but. [And he shrugs] I hope you have people to vouch for you if you're interested. I do not tolerate slackers or liars on my jobs, nor do I tolerate saboteurs.

[Well, that explains the show of axes.

What happened to them? These gates of Cothromach?

[ She wants to know, so she's asking. She...has no real interest in helping rebuild them because that sounds dull and would require her to go somewhere (she has no idea where Cothromach is) but if it's important enough to address publicly like this, Shijima should probably bother to learn what it's about. ]

They were destroyed in an attack. One set just need some minor repairs, but the rest...well, thankfully there is a lot of wood around.

[ Although since like 80% of the people she's spoken to don't care about the divide, that makes sense. Shijima doesn't care about it all that much, herself. ]

How do dwarfs differ from humans?

From what I've observed, you're correct about the Unseelie part.

And I do not doubt there are some bastards among the Seelie. There is no reason to discriminate based on who conscripted you into this war.

Doubtless. I've managed to speak mostly to people who don't care for it.

[ And mostly Unseelie, and new people. So her pool for observations is still limited. ]

But from what I understand the dividing line has nothing to do with how much or how little of a bastard you are, as you say.

[ Blah blah blah something about chaos and order and chivalry, apparently. Shijima doesn't particularly mind her placement, although she's aware that some of the others do. It amounts to the same thing: being taken from where she wanted to be to somewhere she doesn't want to be. ]

It seems to be more a divide of chaos and order than anything else. But I will have to observe and question it for longer before I'm certain.
