Some of you might recognize me, others might not. Either way, I'll keep this short and sweet. Since I'm back here again, I'm still going to need to fulfill those dietary requirements I mentioned last time. Which means donors.

[Not that he couldn't take what he wanted as he pleased, but he'd seen some of the things those here could do his last trip and the last thing he wanted was to find himself trying to have lunch with a witch and winding up with a few aneurysms for his trouble. Rude, witches.]

Again, only reply if you're either interested in offering or, I don't know, have a servant or whatever that's expendable. I'm not interested in playing twenty questions or show and tell.

[Well. That was a helpful little surprise. Ask and ye shall receive. If this panned out, he could hopefully avoid having to kill unless he needed to. For a little while, at least.]

How many are we talking about here?

The soldiers, of course, I might have to call on at any point if things go badly. But I can see that they're available to you while they remain in the court. And I have no need for servants, so I can at least confidently say that those few should remain there indefinitely, if you were worried about planning for the future.

I'll send word to let them know, but I doubt there will be any problem. The natives of this world seem to have a sort of awe for shardbearers, and your kind aren't too unusual here. I've even heard of those who purposefully offer themselves for that sort of thing for whatever pleasure they get from it. If there are any of that sort among my men, I'm sure they'll be plenty willing even without my word.

I haven't exactly been keeping count. I'm friends with a few, but I'm sure there are more. The Brucolac might have a better idea of the number. He seems to keep that sort of thing in mind.
