[He'd wanted to do this more formally, had all sorts of plans for what to say and what topics he needed to address. But his hand is being forced, and so quick and to the point is what he has to settle for.
Some might recognize him, but he's been busy outside the courts and so plenty might not. For those unfamiliar, the person speaking over the lockets is young and delicate-looking, with a regal sort of poise and a currently unhappy expression.]
My name is Saralegui. With the Lady Alyosha's death, rule of Redgate has fallen to me. Were things less dire, I'd have taken the time to speak on the intentions Alyosha had for the city, the hopes I have for it. Issues of rebuilding and peace, moving on from past traumas, maintaining a safe haven for both its residents and shardbearers -- anyone who wants no part in this war. But the situation is dire, and time won't permit me to do things so nicely.
[There. At least he can leave hints as to what was intended, both to soothe his own ego over ruined plans, and tease out those who might have had some interest in any of it. Multi-tasking is good. But frowning now, he focuses, voice steady and gaze intense beneath tinted glasses.]
Reynard the Fox is riding for Redgate. We've no idea when he might arrive, or what he's after, but I've seen firsthand the sort of death and destruction he can cause on his own. The city has already experienced more than enough bloodshed, is still recovering from it, and I would not see it suffer him.
[Only a little bit of a lie in there -- he knows what Reynard wants, as do likely at least a few others who are in the loop with regards with Reynard and Alyosha. But details like that aren't necessary to appeal to those who might be useful here. Those with strong senses of honor, or justice, or revenge.]
I know Redgate has its champions and allies in either court from Alyosha's rule, and there are plenty who would call the Fox their enemy. I ask for those who would stand in the city's defense, whatever the reasons. I leave myself for Redgate as soon as possible, through means faster than by horseback and fairy rings, and anyone in Caer Scima willing to help is welcome to travel with me.

A thought: Redgate's mountain passes means it would be alarmingly easy to siege. If Reynard rides up it, it would be opportune to be able to trap him in that pass.
Video
Thank you. And it would be. But that almost seems too easy. Surely he'll be prepared for something like that?

[ If there's two things in Drabwurld that fire her up, it's both Redgate and the mention of Reynard. ]
I was one of the Unseelie that attempted to slay that dragon. I will not stand to see Redgate suffer anymore than it has.

[he has an excellent memory, and this one he remember from the midnight court, however briefly he saw that fight before escaping with the others. but he says nothing on the subject, always careful not to draw attention to his less public-friendly shenanigans.]
With any luck, the Fox can be stopped before even coming close to the city.

Lord Dragmire and I had sent workers there to repair the damage done by the dragon. But they are not soldiers.
video;
[somewhat at odds with his gentle appearances, that statement is imperious and unshakable, almost more of a command. but after a moment he nods, acknowledging, and his expression softens.]
Thank you for the aid to the city. I promise, I will do everything in my power to keep your workers safe, along with the rest of Redgate's people.

Alyosha made me a champion. I think I can be at Redgate in a couple of days. Maybe less. [ Depends on how close his armor can get him, if that general lack of powers will put the kibosh on it. But he can figure out the technicalities later. ]

Lord Saralegui, tell me where to find you, and I will depart with you.
[not so much for Redgate itself, but for Reynard. so confident to make a move already meant that he must have something grand up his sleeve, and keeping herself from this would be foolish. going was foolish as well, when it could very well be a trap, but of the courses of action, she has to admit more of her interest lays in seeing what he has planned.]

[especially when their transport would still be far faster than any champions coming from elsewhere.]
But I'll be grateful to have your aid. I don't believe we've met, miss...?

[maybe that sounds a bit harsh. but the ignorant are the ones most at risk where reynard was involved.]
He's an ex-shardbearer, now a shardhunter. He collects the things, rips them from peoples' chests if he must, and his collection has made him frighteningly powerful.

[ her text is curiously stripped of its courtesies. perhaps she has no time -- or perhaps something dread and unfortunate has dragged the pair of them well beyond the empty space of titles and pleasantries. ]

[in most other cases today, he's been too distracted to even switch to text for others, but here he pauses to make sure of it. after recent events and with his current state, he doesn't trust himself to properly reel in his anger at her. nothing that she's done since their last, decently pleasant conversation, but she still holds some blame for what happened with morla.]

[Unless he knows a way around it? This thought is what keeps Ganondorf from rushing in headlong like everyone else. Reynard is not so skilled a swordsman to think that alone will keep him alive in a place full of enemies.]

[but with that firmly stated, he settles back a bit, giving the man in the locket a polite nod.]
Lord Dragmire, I believe? We've only spoken once before.

[She hesitates.]
I'm going to look for him. It won't be very easy and I can't say how I'm going to do it, but maybe I'll have something for you in a few days. I'm sorry, it's the very best I can manage.

The girl from the tavern. I remember. I'll thank you for any help you can provide.

I'll come. You're going to need all the fire power you can get.
[ did zuko just channel his inner sokka with a rather pathetic pun? yes. yes he did. ]
Do you know where he's closest to on the map?
[ even though zuko's well-aware of how his boon works, he pretends as though his blue spirit mask can take him all across the drabwurld without his feet having pressed against the soil once before. reynard the fox had escaped him once, he can backburn him out of hiding if he has to. where zuko fails, the blue spirit succeeds. ]

We've heard now that he's likely coming from Cothromach. But we can't be sure when he left, or how far he's gotten. The only certain thing is where he's going.

On the other, last he heard from Redgate was if anyone saw him they'd go for his head.
So he prepares himself, and sends a private message. If he can aid Redgate in this, he will do his best. ]
I am Kaldur'ahm. I have nothing but the greatest respect and concern for Redgate, and would lend my strength against what ills Reynard would hold against it. [ He had warned Alyosha, and it seems that, even with her dead, the fox's anger still holds true. He pauses, and his face turns away slightly, before he resettles on the video-feed, expression regaining its evenness. ] However, due to earlier circumstances involving the dragon, I have since been informed that to return to Redgate is to ask for my death by any who sight me.
I am willing to stay outside the bounds of Redgate to try and stop Reynard's army and others, if that is what is prefered and best for her people.
I've heard of you, and Redgate's current bounty on your head. That was an issue I'd intended to deal with later, but it appears that can't be the case.
[he frowns, contemplative for a long few moments. he can't simply disregard commands from alyosha's reign for fear of upsetting the people. but the situation is critical, and he can perhaps work with this. when he speaks again, it's with a nod and a note of finality in his voice.]
Redgate's current safety, however, is more important right now than its past troubles. And I would not deny hospitality to anyone aiding it. If you would be willing to remain once this situation is dealt with, so that I might properly hear all the side of the past situation and ensure proper justice, then I will make sure that you are left unharmed by Redgate's people.
And if there is anything that might allow for a pardon, or at least greater leniency in handling your case, then it would be coming to Redgate's aid in its time of need.
