For those that have unearthed remains at the behest of the Black Shuck, if you have come across those of the Seelie, I will be venturing to Caer Gleam to return them upon the evening of the Seventh. I am willing to transport those of any who can bring them to me in Daonna before my departure to the Seelie stronghold.

Should you do so, I will ensure that the Seelie are aware of whom among us honored their dead. [Since honor was a huge deal to the Seelie.]

I would appreciate being contacted beforehand so I can prepare.

I have spoken with her over the locket, but I have yet to speak with her in person.

I am on my way back from Redgate. There had been plenty of bones to collect there.

How fares the city? After suffering the dragon's escape and the death of Lady Alyosha, the city has endured much of late.

It is in the process of rebuilding and quite supportive of the Unseelie for reasons I am certain you can ascertain. I believe they will accept the new lord if he presents himself well.

They need leadership. They need closure.

I admit, his name is of some familiarity to me. What is your opinion of this Saralegui?

[He's very young and that gives Ganondorf reason to be skeptical.]

He is young, but he is also skilled. A meticulous man. There is a lot of potential in him. And he has strong allies, not all of them known to the common eye.

[He was around the age Saber was when she took up the crown, so his age is not much of a concern for her.]

[He had been born a king, in a divine occurrence that unmistakably singled him out for greatness. Age ought not be a concern for him, but he'd need reason first to see if this boy might prove naive and inexperienced.]

A reasonable assessment. It will be difficult work, replacing Lady Alyosha. She was much beloved by her people not just as a leader, but as a hero and builder as well. The toymakers carved toys in her honor. I collected one for myself when I was there.

He is smart enough to realize that he cannot replace her. From what I have heard regarding her - as I never had the pleasure of meeting her - no one would be capable of replacing her. He will not try. He will build something new, honoring her as he can along the way.

You seem so certain of that quality. Do you hail from the same land?

We are not, but I have spent several weeks in his company. He considers me a friend, and I am not typically silent on matters I feel need to be addressed when it comes to friends.

[And Saralegui can't afford to not sway the people of Redgate to his side. Saber was well aware of what the stakes were.]

So you have his ear. He must value your advice to keep you so close.

I have a lot of experience.

I imagine you must, given your experiences. [He pauses, then decides there is something he is more curious about.] Before, when we first met, you spoke of a war for a Holy Grail. By now you must be aware that you are not the only one present who has experienced that conflict.

I am aware of all brought here that have fought at some point in either the Fourth or the Fifth Holy Grail War.

The Berseker and Iskander seem good and solid men. Even the Lancer seems capable, though he fights for the Seelie. Had I been faster, I might have bested him.

[Ganondorf had not lost that fight, but he'd been unable to finish it. That still bruised his pride.]

The Seelie Court boasts the presence of two Lancer Servants and one magi Master. Agility is the forte of the Lancer Class.

Does this master command them both?

No. The Lancer with one spear is contracted to the Seelie High Queen. The Lancer with the two spears was contracted to the magi Master back in our world, but is not here. He has been given the golden cloak to wear.

[dragmire]

The cloaks. Yes, the kings seem to like earning loyalty by giving them away to anyone who shows skill. I have heard you gained one for yourself.

[He sounded amused by this, not because she was undeserving one, but because he himself had been neglected such an 'honor'. He did not desire to be a Necroveil, but it could not be denied that there were few who had fought and gained so much for the Unseelie as Ganondorf had.]

That is correct. High King Reul has indeed asked me to fight at his side. I chose to accept.

I cannot speak for the Seelie and their Golden Cadre, but skill alone is not what High King Reul looks for in the Necroveil. It requires a certain understanding that is very hard to place into words. Forgive me for not being able to clarify beyond that. You are inquisitive man.

I had a lifetime to know all that there could be known about my own realm, from the word of my elders and from written record. But in this land, we are as ignorant as children. To be anything less than inquisitive is to invite disaster. But if you cannot explain anymore, do not trouble yourself to try.
