[It takes some tinkering for him to figure out how to work the locket. But he's a clever guy, and not unused to magitech- so eventually he figures it out. And once he does, there's a video feed of a man with red hair and wearing pink coming onto your lockets]

Well what do you know, a piece of tacky jewelry that talks. What I always wanted.

[He then seems to direct the feed more now, clearing his throat and giving a smile]

Hello out there all you beautiful ladies! ♥ Oh, and all you guys too I guess. If you don't recognize my handsome face, I'm the great Zelos Wilder! But you can always call me Zelos too.

Anyway, I just got here last night, so I'm feeling a bit lost to what's going on. All I really know there's something about being on another world and some war going on with these tiny fairy guys. I can't say I'm eager to fight for some guys who abducted me, but if anyone can give me information, I think it'd be good to know!

[And then it seems the cheerful sass dies down a little on the next request, sincerity coming through instead. Colette had just been with him, and he had been looking for Lloyd already- so he's worried they got dragged into this mess too]

Oh, also- I don't know if they're here, but if anyone's heard anything about a Lloyd Irving or a Colette Brunel - could you let me know? ....Thanks.

I'm surprised more people don't ask about their friends on the lockets like this. [ ... ] But to answer your question, no I haven't heard anything about them.

So I guess you won't be traveling the world anytime soon.

[ neither will artemis... on her own at least, because the monsters here are hella frightening. ]

[ at that, artemis snorts ]

You might not be able to leave, but you don't have to stay in the castle. [ and thank god for that because ergh, artemis does not like caer scima. ] There are fairy rings all over the map and they'll take you almost anywhere.

[ there's a pause at that, the second part of their conversation hitting a little too close to home. ]

That sounds familiar.

Yeah? Where do people stay if not in the castle? [Since, sure, he's got nice digs here- but the less he owes these guys the better]

Does it? You from Teth- [Correcting himself] Aselia, or is it just similar to your world?

There's the Station. [ yeah that's the only place she knows by name. ] There's probably other places too, but they're all secret or native.

[ "teth"? "aselia"? ohhh now she's interested. ]

No, I'm from a place called "Earth," but we've got terrorists and megalomaniacs trying to take over the world, people with crazy powers and stuff like that. The whole bit.

The Station? What's that like? [He's not too surprised to hear the others are secret, considering this is supposed to be a war]

Earth? [He frowns just because- who names their planet after dirt? But whatever, he guesses] Yeah, that does sound like home, alright. That's a shame.

It looks like a train station. [ ... and?? ] And a bunch of modern technology works there. Cellphones, computers, iPods, stuff like that. It feels like a neutral place but... [ she doesn't trust it. ]

I guess there's one in every world. Otherwise things would get boring.

[He has no idea what any of that stuff she mentioned if his blank look says anything is (and will likely ask in a bit), but her trailing off is what really catches his interest] But...you don't trust it?

Boring, right. [He makes a "ha" sound"] I dunno, I think I'd kill to go one year without anyone trying to kill me.

In a place like this, I don't trust anything other than the fact that we're gonna have to fight to the death at some point.

[ sheesh artemis. for a pretty girl you're awfully cynical. ]

Fair enough. They did seem very set on that day when I got brought in.

[no kidding! At least he can't really judge considering his own level of cynicism.]

[ with nothing further to say on the subject (save perhaps that she has no intention of fighting anyone to the death and the monarchs will be hells of disappointed in her), she lets that thread of conversation drop. ]
